Best way to solve this issue is to, Elect the right people on top and make them to initiate. in most cases some politicians are the one who are supporting for these kind of business. And yes i agree with "Mahendra Mani", Practicing YOGA from school is important. by doing so people will have control on their thoughts.

Having worked for 12 years in NCB, UNODC and in the Ministry as Director (Narcotics Control), I was able to see what worked and what did not in Drug Control in India and around the world. What India needs desperately and has not attempted so far, is a National Master Plan on Drug Control so that our efforts in law enforcement, treatment, rehabilitation, preventive education, promotion of licit trade, illicit opium and ganja eradication and alternative development are all in harmony & get results

Controlling Drug is probably the higher Level Of problem in India..
In my opinion when youth or other addicted people of tobacco and Alcohol are not satisfied; they go for Drugs. And it turns People into drug Addicted and even some to drug Dealer. A business which has a huge profit. So i think first fight against Tobacco. Even controlling its production from Base level will Have a impact in the situation.
So, I request To control Tobacco ; it will even help in Clean INDIA.

Empty mind devil's workshop
Youths having no work are certainly going to be misguided.
Hence eradication of unemployment is very essential.
Peddlers have also to be dealt with stringent laws.

There is a wide spread perception that top political and police leadership are the real operators of drug business especially in Punjab.
how are you planning to tackle this?
who is going to keep a check if law enforcers and their political masters are themselves involved in this dastardly business ?
Is a nation wide prohibition on alcohol feasible ? If so , please do implement a nation wide prohibition on alcohol .
