During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

Hon'ble PM has chosen a serious topic. I am Sankar Goswami and want to share my opinion that drug menace can be controlled by way of spiritual enlightenment, participation of youths in sports and nation building work through compulsory participation in NCC, Volunteering in Army, Navy Air Force through schools and panchayats, practicing yoga everyday in schools. I have seen children once used to go to sports grounds have stopped playing and instead getting addicted to social media, liquor, drugs.

In schools and colleges at least one hour must be used to inculcate civic sense and Indian cultural and moral values and environmental self cleanliness. This should start from first standard and continue till one completes his studies.

(Not Blaming to each other).Jagdish Joshi- Qatar

The Rule to Transformation is simple! If you do not Channelize the Excess Energy of an Individual, it eventually turns into an "Exclusive" Energy. It is this Exclusive Energy that manifests an erratic behaviour & all sorts of Social Anomalies. Therefore, in order to mitigate an Influence of the Drug Abuse, it would be quintessential to "Channelize" the Excess Energy of Youths to something Creative, Engaging, Leisurely & Fun-loving SPORTS Activities such as Football, Kabaddi Tournaments etc.

Dear Sir , Immediately doctors should start prescribing medicine pharmacy terms only eg paracetamol not as crocin ,calpol etc.this will reduce the cost and also consumption of unnecessary items along main medicine. this also reduce the medical expenses quite a great extent. it is understood that WB CM has already tried it in Govt hospital in pilot project.
