During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

why not ban the manufacture and sale of cigreette and tobaco products altogether instead of banning sale in packet of cigerattes ? will the goverment place policeman at every outlet of retail panwari shops?

Use all the celebrities,top notch businessmen and women ,big marketing splash events like IPL to promote the ANTI NARCOTIC STAND and Doing any form of narcotic trade right from Ganja to LSD etc should be PUNISHED Severely and most of the sadhus consume ganja & these are available and cultivated by tribal belts ,awareness should start there,so is the punishment & promote the ad film before start of any t.v.serial, news, sports, programs, in movie halls as mandatory and it is not COOL to do drugs

as soon as you land in saudi there is a board which says CARRYING DRUGS LEADS TO DEATH SENTENCE. its high time, India too goes in aggresive mode and give CAPITAL punishment for drug pushers. even SADHUS who smoke charas need to be warned and give life term sentence to those who supply all kinds of tobacco products. Ban companies which manufacture tobacco products.

Narcotics are the most dangerous elements present in our system worldwide and it is menace to the growth of youth.First we have to clean up Goa Narcotic Mafia, irrespective of international concerns and treat it on par with terrorist activity and revoke TADA act on narcotic trade. Strong Anti Narcotic Bill with strong punishment should be mooted and Police and Citizen activists to be given full power & legal immunity if they demolish the trade&traders.Say NO to Gutkha,Toddy, Cigarettes&Drugs.

students should be made aware of drugs and its side effects right from class7.awareness should be included in curriculum and parents should be given special classes to tackle very wisely with the age factor and also till certain age mobile phones should be prohibited and very strict law should be there for its usage much more exposure to internet in small age leads to many such factors of addiction children becomes matured before their age bcoz of phones and internet.

The problem of drugs starts when children do not get adequate parental attention. They feel neglected and look for other modes to satisfy their needs, which in many cases leads to drugs use. This is more prevalent in higher and lower strata of society. Parents should be in constant touch with their children, share their happiness and support them in difficult times. This will create a bond between the parents and the children leading to happy family life and no need for extra-family support.

The first step is to ban tobacco and pan masala products from the near by areas of the school. bcz every teenages starts the usage of these products from their school days,after that they want beverages and drugs. so strict laws are make for the non selling of beverages to teenages. first we take action against the flow of these products to the teenages , after that the govt take action against the drug mafias bcz any awareness will be give if there is availability the teenage will use these

We need strong mechanism for this for that we need community participation we can adopt community police system as we see in some advanced countries which can bring in results
