During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

I think I can contribute my might in raising awareness levels about the bane of addiction in INDIA by suggesting a pro-active and intensive communication policy to highlight the concept of addiction as a family disease and not as an act of immorality. In order to do so, the government needs to constitute a special panel comprising active film-makers, writers, journalists, educationists, technocrats, bureaucrats, counsellors, doctors, psychologists and prominent rehabilitation centre directors

These days youths are forgetting their parents and feeling loneliness so they are taking help of drugs. If we provide them a good education at tge primary level ,they will not do so. You should include anti drugs chapter at school level so that they can be aware. At public places it should be strictly banned. You should start it. nationwide

The public transport buses in most cities must be restricted to drive only in the slow track, as in most advanced countries. At present most bus drivers overtake other motorists, move on to the fast track and suddenly move into the 'slow track' to stop the bus at the bus stop creating potential traffic accidents.
