Suggestions Invited for Monthly themes to be taken as part of the celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until ...

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until October 2, 2020 from October 2, 2018 onwards. Mahatma Gandhi in his seminal book, Constructive Programme Its Meaning and Place had talked about 18 constructive programmes. He had stressed that more programmes could be added as time passed. The 18 constructive programmes included: Communal Unity; Removal of Untouchability; Prohibition; Khadi; Village Industries; Village Sanitation ; Nai Talim or Basic Education; Adult Education; Women; Knowledge of Health and Hygiene; Provincial languages; National Language; Economic Equality; Kisans; Labour; Adivasis; Lepers ; Students.

By involving the above 18 themes in 18 months, six more months would be remaining.

Ideas are invited from the citizens on six more themes to be taken in six months. The ideas should be relevant for our contemporary society.

Those who submit the best themes could be given certificates

Theme -1 Non violence and Harmony Theme -2 Quality in every thing we do. ( Each citizen will try to be the best in his job. Theme- 3 Self Reliance (Reduce dependence on Oil,use Bicycle and Public Transport as main mode of commuting within city, redesign city with bicycle tracks, defence production by make in India). Theme-4 Provide city facilities in villages. Theme-5 Alternative Dispute resolution (Promote Mediation) Theme-6 India for Honesty-Punish dishonesty in all forms and manner

I think lot have been going on nd off social media regarding MENSTURATION and SANITARY PADS. Even this contemporary society treats a mensturating woman as an untouchable which we know is neither humane nor just. So one month should be given for this cause. "MENSTRUATION - a boon" should be our one month agenda. Processions should be taken and advertisement in bulk should be shown to bring a change in the minds of people.

On the Anniversary of Bapu we have to give importance of Khadi cloth . during interaction, orientation classes in school or college we have to give Gift which ll be made up of Khadi...

Mahatma gandhi was very powermen and kind also he sow a dream for indias peoples education and job skills Everyone is following his instructions but they are not doing any good work for social we are fighting with each other for politics only . it seems me there is no development in public and there ideas we are not getting good skills becouse some people is getting profit and other is fighting why ? What is service skills, development ,there is no result

To honour Bapuji on his 150th anniversary, Government should adopt reformative measures to ensure honesty legal service and make it reachable to the poor people. Along with this, it is high time for the government to reconsider and restructure the existing gender laws as neutral. It is observed that the gender laws have never been effective in dealing with women issues. Many studies invalidates the effectiveness of gender laws as poor women can't afford to judiciary whereas rich women misuse it

मेरा आग्रह है कि बापू की जन्म के डेढ़ सौ वर्ष में बापू की इस सोच का ज्यादा से ज्यादा प्रचार किये जाने की जरुरत है जिससे हमारा सामाजिक ताना बाना कुछ ठीक हो सके
