Suggestions Invited for Monthly themes to be taken as part of the celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until ...

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until October 2, 2020 from October 2, 2018 onwards. Mahatma Gandhi in his seminal book, Constructive Programme Its Meaning and Place had talked about 18 constructive programmes. He had stressed that more programmes could be added as time passed. The 18 constructive programmes included: Communal Unity; Removal of Untouchability; Prohibition; Khadi; Village Industries; Village Sanitation ; Nai Talim or Basic Education; Adult Education; Women; Knowledge of Health and Hygiene; Provincial languages; National Language; Economic Equality; Kisans; Labour; Adivasis; Lepers ; Students.

By involving the above 18 themes in 18 months, six more months would be remaining.

Ideas are invited from the citizens on six more themes to be taken in six months. The ideas should be relevant for our contemporary society.

Those who submit the best themes could be given certificates

Adarsh Gram was Gandhi's idea for true India. According to him our villages were the driving force of India. This should be implemented not just because gandhi said it but because he was true saying it. Villages must have the amenities to produce goods and services. This will also decentralize growth and stop migration from rural to urban areas.

In ananda bazar patrika on 25th of may a minor girl lost her arm by a bomb explosion . The girl needs rs 2 and half lakhs for artificial arm.Can any body help

देश की स्वच्छता के लिये हमे ग्रामिण स्वच्छता कि ओर ध्यान देना जरुरी है जिसके लिये पंचायत को स्वच्छाता के लिये और प्रोत्साहन को एवं राजनिती के परे जाकर काम करना होगा अब तक हमने अच्छे कार्यो का एवं देश की विवीधताओ का फोटो कलेक्शन करा है अब पंचायत एवं शहरों मै गंदगी एवं अस्वच्छता कि तस्विरे युवाओं एवं जनता के माध्यम से प्रदर्शित कि जाये जिसके साथ हो रही गंदगी एवं अस्वच्छता कि जानकारी और परिणाम को अधोरेखीत किया जाये ताकी हम समझ सके की भारत स्वच्छता का महत्व हमारे देश के लिये क्या हे

सक्षम ग्राम और सक्षम युवा यही गांधीजी की अपेक्षा थी! इसी लिये, ऐसी कोई योजना इस कालावधी के लिए लानी चाहिये, जो गाव को सक्षम करे और युवाओं को उनके गांव की तरफ ले जाए! ऐसी कोई योजना जीस के परिणाम स्‍वरुप युवा शहर की और भागने की बजाए गाव मे ही तरक्‍की करे और गाव को समृध्‍द बनाए! ऐसी कोशिश ही गांधीजी को असली श्रद्धांजली होगी!
