Suggestions Invited for Monthly themes to be taken as part of the celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until ...

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until October 2, 2020 from October 2, 2018 onwards. Mahatma Gandhi in his seminal book, Constructive Programme Its Meaning and Place had talked about 18 constructive programmes. He had stressed that more programmes could be added as time passed. The 18 constructive programmes included: Communal Unity; Removal of Untouchability; Prohibition; Khadi; Village Industries; Village Sanitation ; Nai Talim or Basic Education; Adult Education; Women; Knowledge of Health and Hygiene; Provincial languages; National Language; Economic Equality; Kisans; Labour; Adivasis; Lepers ; Students.

By involving the above 18 themes in 18 months, six more months would be remaining.

Ideas are invited from the citizens on six more themes to be taken in six months. The ideas should be relevant for our contemporary society.

Those who submit the best themes could be given certificates

I think we can use things which is made up of India because gandhiji also support to use indian things which is made of India.It can also help to explore indian market.

i want to say one thing only dont waste ur time to reply opposition..do something new neglect all them publicly anounce this thought ..india needs devlopment nt argument....125 .25 crore people on modi not on sonia gandhi or rahul ...my request for modi ji apply this for u nd ur team fully team make this ur theme

In respect to celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji, I want to suggest that, swachchhata is very important, hence, Hon. PM and Govt. has started swachchhata mission all over the nation, it requires to activate more by mass mission at grams and urban level, further, Gandhiji was chanting the name of God Ram, hence, special priority should be given for God Ram temple as well as each and every place of our nation Ram dhun, Ram darbar, etc. programme should arrange,Best wishes

its time to rethink about gandhi that who was he? what kind of business or service he want to do with indian people and with himself. people knows gandhi as books and history says... but i think it time to not follow gandhi... even no need to become as gandhi, people should become as they are, every person has its own personality.
