Suggestions Invited for Monthly themes to be taken as part of the celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until ...

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until October 2, 2020 from October 2, 2018 onwards. Mahatma Gandhi in his seminal book, Constructive Programme Its Meaning and Place had talked about 18 constructive programmes. He had stressed that more programmes could be added as time passed. The 18 constructive programmes included: Communal Unity; Removal of Untouchability; Prohibition; Khadi; Village Industries; Village Sanitation ; Nai Talim or Basic Education; Adult Education; Women; Knowledge of Health and Hygiene; Provincial languages; National Language; Economic Equality; Kisans; Labour; Adivasis; Lepers ; Students.

By involving the above 18 themes in 18 months, six more months would be remaining.

Ideas are invited from the citizens on six more themes to be taken in six months. The ideas should be relevant for our contemporary society.

Those who submit the best themes could be given certificates

MODI JI ELECTION COMPLETED IN 7-8 STATES AND YOU HAVE SEEN THEIR RESULT AND THE CONDITION OF BJP IN THESE RESULTS SHOWS THE EFFECT OF INCREASING COST OF DIESEL AND PETROL AND SHOWS THE ANGRY MINDSET OF PEOPLE AGAINST ONE PAISA DECREASE IN COST. NOW YOU HAVE TO TAKE DIESEL AND PETROL UNDER GST SO THAT PUBLIC CAN REMEMBER YOU FOREVER AND YOUR MISSION FOR 2019 WILL GET A SOLID BASE BY THIS HENCE MISSION 2019 WILL ONLY BE SUCESSFUL IF DIESEL PETROL COMES UNDER GST AND INDIAN PEOPLE GET BENIFIT OF IT

A Theme can be Sustainability and Swadeshi.To encourage sustainable Transportation, interconnected bicycle tracks have to constructed in all cities.Government offices and educational institutions need to be declared car free spaces,Govt Staff and students need to be encouraged to use bicycle. Public Transport to be promoted, cars discouraged, car industry to be asked to shift to produce Bus,Metro etc to save on Oil.Swadeshi to be encouraged in defence,medical equipment to reduce import costs

Can we not put an enabling frame work to promote honesty at all levels from school onward all malpractices like copying,has to be severely punished like detention in same class or disqualification.The board and university regulations to be modified to include Moral science as a subject with 50% weightage based on objective appraisal of adherence to honesty by the student from class 1 to class 12,Degree and Master remaining 50% to be tested by exams.Moral exam Marks to be considered for jobs

Can we have a mediation law which promotes dispute resolution by private mediation and court authenticates such party agreed settlement as enforceable consent decrees.Gandhiji was always for Alternative Dispute resolution,can we further progress in this direction,by removing the requirement that lawyers with certain years of experience can only qualify as court approved mediator as it may prove counter productive as the spirit of mediation might not be followed and end without just settlements

We need convergence in skilling our highways are constructed at several lakh crores with mostly unskilled people how can we ensure quality of our roads,while we spend crores for training sales man for private sector free of cost in pmkvy.Govt need to use PMKVY to skill workers in road,infrastructure,make in india which may require highly skilled workers.we had an opportunity to create demand for skilling by requiring ITI certificate for railway jobs,govt unnecassarily relaxed this requirement

We don't need creative activities.we want concrete solutions on the proposed themes.like what is govt plan to ensure equality and reduce concentration of wealth the inequality has increased by the increase in salary per 7th pay commission and increase in salary for constitution functionaries.what is the government plan to increase earning of common man unemployed farmers and people in unorganised sector.please propose action plan to end unemployment in india

from my point of view the theme should be innovative one like you can make a theme based on the children who are the future of our country there should be compulsory session for the children's to attend that will teach them the lessons of mahata gandhi and how we can implement them in our life.
