Suggestions Invited for Formulation of a New Industrial Policy

The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated the process of formulation of a new Industrial Policy in May 2017. Since the last Industrial Policy announced in 1991, India has transformed into one of the fastest growing economies in the world. With strong macro-economic fundamentals and several path breaking reforms in the last three years, India is equipped to deploy a different set of ideas and strategies to build a globally competitive Indian industry. The new Industrial Policy will subsume the National Manufacturing Policy.

A consultative approach has been taken for industrial policy formulation wherein six thematic focus groups and an online survey on DIPP website have been used to obtain inputs. Focus groups, with members from government departments, industry associations, academia, and think tanks have been setup to delve deep into challenges faced by the industry in specific areas. The six thematic areas include Manufacturing and MSME; Technology and Innovation; Ease of Doing Business; Infrastructure, Investment, Trade and Fiscal policy; and Skills and employability for the future. A Task Force on Artificial Intelligence for India’s Economic Transformation has also been constituted which will provide inputs for the policy.

It is proposed that the new Industrial Policy will aim at making India a manufacturing hub by promoting ‘Make in India’. It will also suitably incorporate the use of modern smart technologies such as IOT, artificial intelligence and robotics for advanced manufacturing.

Hon’ble Minister of State(i/c) for Commerce & Industry Smt Nirmala Sitharaman will hold consultations with stakeholders, including industry captains, think tanks and State governments in Chennai, Guwahati and Mumbai. The Industrial Policy is likely to be announced in October 2017.

DIPP invites comments, feedback, suggestions from the public regarding framing of the new Policy.

The last date of submission of suggestions is 25th September, 2017.

hello sir, mera vichar ye hai ki aap ke dwara suru ki gayi sansad gram yojana ka labh uthaya jay.kyuki ager hum ek gaon ki woman ka group bana ke unhe gaon ke ander small scale pe hum kuch training de to unhe employment bhi milega sath hi aas paas ke gaon ki woman ko bhi kuch karne ki prerna milegi ye karya hamri industry ko bhi kaccha maal dega or dhere dhere production badega.sochne wali baat hai ki har saal 545 mp ek gaon goad leta hai 5 saal main ye ache result dega.

Our country, before British Rule changed the system to favour itself, had the industrial model in which villages were manufacturing hubs and urban areas were market places. This model ensured that vast population engaged in agricultural activities remained gainfully employed throughout the year without any need to migrate to the cities/metros and live in slums. The same model with appropriate modifications and support from technology is the need of the hour.

Suggest:1 All industrial houses be impressed upon to have atleast 1 hardware base in order to do business in India.2 the spinoff industries from the heavy industries be encouraged 3 traffic and road infrastructures be improved 4 all foreign investors should be bounded with some procedures like DPP and DPM 5 the population be educated to usher in new technology and to adapt to it 6 instead of outright purchase of technology,to build upon the existing internal technology available

Ministry of Ethics and Governance Should be Created , it should be autonomous institution created by Parliament. Only PM must be able to bypass it's decisions with Consultation of DG of States , CJ of HC , CJ of SC and Eminent Scholar(Liberal). #DIPP

Sir, 1. All benefits must be given to industries for their proper functioning. 2. Truck unions must be abolished as they create hurdle in transportation. 3. ALL TYPES OF SUBSIDIES OR INCENTIVES MUST directly goes to industries account. 4. Labour union as they create inspector raj in industries must be abolished. 5. All departments must be fully online and directly connectwith industries. I f all above points are taken into consideration then only we can think about MAKE IN INDIA.

आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री जी, देश में उद्योगों को बढ़ावा देने के लिये जरुरी है कि लघु उद्योगों को अधिक से अधिक सुविधाएं दी जाएं व उनके द्वारा निर्मित वस्तुओं की बिक्री के लिये बाजार उपलब्ध करवाया जाए। इससे लघु उद्योगों को बढ़ावा मिलेगा व गरीब, आम और मध्यमवर्गीय लोगों का जीवन स्तर भी सुधरेगा।

Govt must give support to small scale industries by conducting workshops for the skill devrlopment and removing mediators.Financial help should be reach to deserving candidates directly and monitoring is necessary

Financial assistance to be given to industries deriving it's power from cleaner sources of energy especially renewable sources. Govt should segregate CSR and make it compulsory for firms to donate a certain percentage of their profit for R&D.this donation to be based on the value of that factory. Dedicated R&D labs to be set pan India. Focus on infrastructural development. Make the youth more industrial friendly via regular industrial visits during their scholar programs.

Focus on the growth of industries especially on msme although capacity building program is running in full swing but there are no signs of growth in employment.. Single window licensing mechanism. Rapid grievances redress mechanism. Easy credit facility. Info to fresh startups about gst. Incentivize to new cooperative societies companies. More sez,food parks and in same manner dedicated technological parks should be setup. Disinvestment and privatisation of loss making firms.
