Ministry of Electronics and IT has drafted a Data Centre policy to benefit the Data Centre park developers/Data Centre operators as well as the allied ecosystem of the Data Centre sector. The policy envisages making India a Global Data Centre hub, promote investment in the sector, propel digital economy growth, enable provisioning of trusted hosting infrastructure to fulfill the growing demand of the country and facilitate state of the art service delivery to citizens. This document lays out a policy framework including various structural / regulatory interventions, investment promotion in the sector, possible Incentivization mechanisms along with the institutional mechanism required for the governance. The policy framework also seeks to strengthen the recently announced “AatmaNirbhar Bharat” initiative by identifying possible opportunities of manufacturing of Data Centre equipment (IT as well as non-IT) in the country. It also identifies possible areas of participation by MSMEs and Start-ups.

The policy intends to ensure sustainable and trusted Data Centre capacity within the country. This policy framework shall be followed by a detailed scheme with implementation guideline document providing the particulars of various fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to be provided to the sector by the Central and State Government.

For the same, Ministry of Electronics and IT invites citizen suggestions on the Draft Data Center Policy 2020.
Refer to the Policy document here : Draft Data Center Policy 2020

Sir, We need a unified Data Centre(DC) for all GoI org to exchange information securely including Defence forces. I suggest that apart from operational and secret Army/AF/IN issues balance be shared on single platform through a common DC to enhance synergy and timeliness. The proposed DC should have adequate security measures such as SOC and NOC as well as encryption. Many IT projects gets shunned because of lack of interconnectivity between Defence forces and civil org like PCDA, CQA, IFA, etc.

Data is very important for all using internet with giving our own particular inquiry. With out giving them we can not do anything so hacker attract & frod came in market .All our data store in many channels and other country too. Slow internet & poor distraction affect the quality. If we want any information to the service provider it take so much time that enquiry is waste .We want our own network which allow all settings in India not mobile company.

data centres produces huge amount of heat and consume lot of electricity so it is necessary to focus on sustainable development. we can achieve it by by promoting carbon neutrality (renewable energy). and can choose cold places such that less amount of energy will be needed. and we should also promote made in India equipment.

most of the website r showing ads of fraud company without checking their background.most of the time YouTube Google are showing ads of fake mobile company having high specification but low price & also promoting soft porn.I'm 18+ but childrens r using using my phone and I'm conscious about my uses but there should be a strong restriction & company should show only those ads which are verified.if company can decide the trending list then they can check fake ads also.
