Ministry of Electronics and IT has drafted a Data Centre policy to benefit the Data Centre park developers/Data Centre operators as well as the allied ecosystem of the Data Centre sector. The policy envisages making India a Global Data Centre hub, promote investment in the sector, propel digital economy growth, enable provisioning of trusted hosting infrastructure to fulfill the growing demand of the country and facilitate state of the art service delivery to citizens. This document lays out a policy framework including various structural / regulatory interventions, investment promotion in the sector, possible Incentivization mechanisms along with the institutional mechanism required for the governance. The policy framework also seeks to strengthen the recently announced “AatmaNirbhar Bharat” initiative by identifying possible opportunities of manufacturing of Data Centre equipment (IT as well as non-IT) in the country. It also identifies possible areas of participation by MSMEs and Start-ups.

The policy intends to ensure sustainable and trusted Data Centre capacity within the country. This policy framework shall be followed by a detailed scheme with implementation guideline document providing the particulars of various fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to be provided to the sector by the Central and State Government.

For the same, Ministry of Electronics and IT invites citizen suggestions on the Draft Data Center Policy 2020.
Refer to the Policy document here : Draft Data Center Policy 2020

our Information security authority can be visit to data center any point of time without prior intimation to the consernd operating authority. So there name should be authorised personnel list of every data center. Govt of India any time take over any data center if found any policy is violated, PID data can not be transferred out side of INDIA in any case these provisions has to explain to GOI and GOI can execute audit of these any point of time. if found policy violation GOI take over it.

Data centers should be implemented and install in North eastern states like Meghalaya, Mizoram Nagaland,Tripura, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh & Assam. These are very suitable places for data centers as implementing data centers in these regions require lesser cooling systems compare to other regions.

Employment is the major issues now government have no proper data about the number of unemployment and employees who leaves their job so to resolve the issue government must have the correct data base. I am a account professional and as per my experience so many private sector and contractors are booked false salary but employees are not getting their salary or get less salary so as per my view if a data base maintain for private employees and it is controlled by govt. EPF data base is not enoug

It is a good idea to have our own Data center. Government by enacting law can prevent data of India to move out of India. All Companies that deal in Social Media and involving public through their Apps must be having their data centers only in India. Government can provide encryption facilities and technology and training to interested ITES companies or data protection.

first priority in data should be the name column should be single for anybody full name with surname or initials. all state govts, pan data and aadhar data are different in style. state gives take 3 colum, aadhar single, pan has 3 plus one for display name... maximum delay in delivery of benefits are due to mismatch in name or name of father all name of beneficiaries in all states should replace single aadhar name approved by finger or retina verification first
