Ministry of Electronics and IT has drafted a Data Centre policy to benefit the Data Centre park developers/Data Centre operators as well as the allied ecosystem of the Data Centre sector. The policy envisages making India a Global Data Centre hub, promote investment in the sector, propel digital economy growth, enable provisioning of trusted hosting infrastructure to fulfill the growing demand of the country and facilitate state of the art service delivery to citizens. This document lays out a policy framework including various structural / regulatory interventions, investment promotion in the sector, possible Incentivization mechanisms along with the institutional mechanism required for the governance. The policy framework also seeks to strengthen the recently announced “AatmaNirbhar Bharat” initiative by identifying possible opportunities of manufacturing of Data Centre equipment (IT as well as non-IT) in the country. It also identifies possible areas of participation by MSMEs and Start-ups.

The policy intends to ensure sustainable and trusted Data Centre capacity within the country. This policy framework shall be followed by a detailed scheme with implementation guideline document providing the particulars of various fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to be provided to the sector by the Central and State Government.

For the same, Ministry of Electronics and IT invites citizen suggestions on the Draft Data Center Policy 2020.

i would like to add here for the Data center you need to make a full fledged central govt department of Data Center in each states/UT's so that Govt can directly interfere in this and also job recession problem will automatically goes down to some extend and present youth will bless the govt rather than cursing. regards

firstly data should be stored in india and then make adhar compulsory for social media accounts like we are using so that we can trace fake accounts that are operated by anti social eliments and it is easy to investigate at the time of any criminal activity

Respected Modi ji, great Prime Minister of India, congratulations for your great effort against corruption and black money. I would like to bring some point towards black money eradication. I am working as a manager in a jewellery showroom, their I can see, lots of people are bringing huge amounts of money in liquid cash,ie, above 2 lakhs upto 10 lakhs or more sometimes. Kindly make a rules upto 50K purchase limit for liquid cash for an individual. Please do the needful, if more PAN Card must.

Namaskar ,my beloved prime Minister jiit is humble request to you that girl child should be protected seriously.There should hard rule for this type of crime that criminal should not do this .because India is my mother and if agirl child will be secure then only we can achieve our goal.otherwise we have to take awtar of Durga Kali.Thanksye app hi kar sakte hai.dusara koi nahi.it is my humble request.

अभी-अभी चीन के कुछेक ऐपों को राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा कारणों सै प्रतिबंधित करना पडा़ है। इस स्थिति में देशी ऐप और डाटा सेंटर होना कितना जरूरी है आसानी से समझा जा सकता है। देशी आई टी विशेषज्ञों को जिनकी देश के प्रति आस्था हो इस कार्य में पहल करना होगा। देश के नामचीन आईआईआईटी संस्थानों में कैंपस सेलेक्शन प्रक्रिया के तहत इच्छुक प्रतिभागियों का मनोवैज्ञानिक अभिरुचि परीक्षण कर देशहित में देश के लोगों के प्रति संवेदनशीलता के आधार पर चयन कर उनकी सेवा ली जाय। जिनकी अभिरुचि सिर्फ ऊंची सैलरी न चुना जाय।
