I am working as Lecturer in Economics. The idea P.M.Jan Dhan programme is appreciable. For identification the chine of identities are not desirable. With any one of ration/aadhar/voter id is enough for not only for this programme but also for gas, penction, subsidy and other benefits.

Dear Sir, We should motivate to our bank employees. I see the bank employer behaviour with customer is not good. Especially in village area. We should extric to our government bank employees.

To reach every citizen data from previous census must be used and a Bank Representative or Government representative could contact the citizens on one to one basis with a pre-paid Account Opening Card for Jan-Dhan Scheme..This could ensure that no one is left without having Bank Account..

Banks should be more accountable, more friendly, more transperent. Photocopy machines should be made available in banks. Basic things like stapler, pins, scissor, glue etc should be made available within the bank premises. Banks should display banner about this scheme in their premises. All the interest rates on deposits should be displayed in big and bold. Also people should get confidence in banks that defaulters have no room for escape. Banks should create awareness for cheque payments.

Since the Target date is near by, i wish a team is formed from every band and sent to near by areas for opening the bank accounts because most of the people are still interested but hesitate to go to the bank directly, i believe that it will get new customers to the banks.

Hi Sir, The jan dhan Yojana is very good plan , but make that 100 % all over India , we have to request the all banks to launch the camps in small small cities & area for opening the bank account & that if they do every week end that will be good for all labors who are having of on week ends, And also we have to do announcement like how we do during election in all streets to open the account with that we have to tell them profit of that also . with this we can open the 100% bank account.

My mother has saving banking account in Bank of Baroda, it is getting dormant if there is no transaction in 3 months, which lead to increase in trouble for paying charges for dormant account and converting to active account. If person does not have significant transaction than it is problem to have one bank account also. I don't know how effectively the government or RBI will treat this practical issue for people who has open bank account under this programme or otherwise.
