1. give a clearcut restrictions to all households and factories to segregate lesser wastes otherwise give a huge penalty over them....like bike challans.
2. enhance and encourage to all citizens like workers to plant the trees ,dump the wastes, surveillance their sorroundings etc.

Before we speak about the pollution we should think about why we are seeing this as a problem because it is effecting directly. Now we cannot stop using this automobiles or factory we can stop this resources for a session,But we cannot stop completely.SO we should shift to other resources which produce zero pollution. i have an idea to control pollution towards zero pollution not only in chandigarh all over the world. For next generation we can say that we face power cuts high pollution

MULTI-STORIED GREEN HOUSES BUILT IN ALL VILLAGES GET MORE LAND AVAILABLE FOR AGRICULTURE. EACH VILLAGE NEED NEGLIGIBLE PERCENTAGE OF LAND FOR DWELLING. A SATELLITE TOWN MAY BE BUILT TO ACCOMMODATE TEN OF FIFTEEN VILLAGES WITH MULTI STORIED BUILDINGS, SHOPPING COMPLEXES, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, HOSPITALS WHEREIN THE RESPECTIVE VILLAGE MEN AND WOMEN SHOULD BE GIVEN JOB OPPORTUNITIES. MORE FARM LAND AND JOBS WILL IMPROVE THE STANDARD OF LIVING RESULT IN DISCIPLINE.

INSTALL SOLAR PANELS AND MAINTAIN ROOF-GARDENS ATOP ALL THE GOVT. OFFICES,SCHOOLS,COLLEGES,BUS-TERMINALS AND RAILWAY STATIONS. THE DRAINAGE WATER GENERATED IN THESE PLACES HAVE TO BE USED FOR BIO-ENERGY PRODUCTION. VEGETABLE/FRUIT WASTES CRUSHED AT SOURCE POINTS IS RECYCLABLE,OCCUPY MUCH LESS SPACE AND DOES NOT EMANATE FOUL SMELL. GOBAR GAS PLANTS PRODUCE ENERGY & MANURE & ALSO REDUCE MOSQUITO MENACE.USED TYRES HAVE TO BE PROCURED FOR LAYING OF RUBBER ROADS.

1.make it mandatory for all the house holds to segregate the house hold waste.
2.Organic pits should be encouraged in a apartment area.
3.Increase the cost of plastic covers which in turn discourage the use of it.
4.Public transport should be made cheaper to encourage them to go by them.
5.Alternate day vehicle use should be made mandatory.
6.cycle ways should be improved.Encourage school children n college people to by cycles.
7.Planting saplings should be celebrated as an occasion.

Although The City Beautiful Chandigarh is quite maintained ,planned and less polluted in comparison to other big cities like Delhi ,kanpur and others. The major concern which I find is the Use of Plastic Bags in the city. These plastics bags can be seen here & there at every corner street or even at every single beautiful monument Chandigarh have. The ban on PLASTIC BAGS will not only will reduce pollution but will also give jobs to people and will extensively boast the use of recycling
