The Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC), U.T, Chandigarh has taken serious cognizance of the increasing pollution levels in the airs of the city. Pollution occurs in many forms including Air, Water, Soil & Noise pollution.

The CPCC has expressed serious concern over the contamination of the overall environment as the sources of pollution don't simply have a negative impact on the natural world, but also have a measurable effect on the health of human beings also.

In this direction, the Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee has decided to engage the citizens of the city for their invaluable suggestions/ideas/opinions/practical solutions to put a check on increasing levels of all types of pollution in Chandigarh.

The CPCC hereby appeals to the city residents to participate in huge number in order to equip the CPCC with more and more innovative and practical solutions/ideas (which are implementable) to curb the problems arising out of different kind of pollution.

Sir, As we know trees are one of the source which reduces pollution and we know tree are reducing in urban area day by day. So government has to provide some "extra benefit transfer(some type of subsidy on water)" to those who grow trees in there premises. Perimeters should be like, atlest one 10 feet tall tree or ten 1 foot small trees. Vigilance could be done by a person who comes to check water reading.

Respected Sir, To minimise the pollution level in air due to vehicles, we can mount air filters on top of all the vehicles (cars, trucks and buses) with multiple layers of oil / gel coated papers / clothes which will attract dust and can be disposed and cleaned easily. As we have lakhs of vehicular traffic everyday in any part of our country, we may control air pollution within a planned specific period. The air filters to be designed will be operated only by the momentum of the vehicles

Pollution control can only be done by reducing vehicles.let these vehicles be private or government.on private vehicle travelling people must be 50% or may be more.otherwise they need to prefer public transport. Eventhough some intelligent and rich people will hurt their ego but sooner or later they will understand its only for their future. Every city not only chandigarh must follow this system. Regards

We should build roads on which both sides there should be plants and at the centre there should be loghts which should run on solar power. Trees will help to reduce the pollution and solar lights will save electricity

NOBODY LIKE POLLUTION BUT DUE TO INCREASING INDUSTRIALIZATION AND DEVELOPMENT PEOPLE DUMB THE WASTES BESIDE THEIR HOUSE IN MY COLONY I HAD OBSERVED IT. EVERY STATE SHOULD CONTAIN DUMPING BUS AND IT MUST BE MADE MANDATORY TO DUMP THE WASTE IN THE BUS .EVERY HOUSE MUST CONTAIN SOME PLANTS SPECIALLY THAT WERE LOCATED BESIDE THE MAIN ROAD,FINE MUST BE IMPOSED ON THOSE WHO SPIT IN ROADS AND ALSO DEFECATE THEIR .....I THINK THIS WILL WORK
