The Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC), U.T, Chandigarh has taken serious cognizance of the increasing pollution levels in the airs of the city. Pollution occurs in many forms including Air, Water, Soil & Noise pollution.

The CPCC has expressed serious concern over the contamination of the overall environment as the sources of pollution don't simply have a negative impact on the natural world, but also have a measurable effect on the health of human beings also.

In this direction, the Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee has decided to engage the citizens of the city for their invaluable suggestions/ideas/opinions/practical solutions to put a check on increasing levels of all types of pollution in Chandigarh.

The CPCC hereby appeals to the city residents to participate in huge number in order to equip the CPCC with more and more innovative and practical solutions/ideas (which are implementable) to curb the problems arising out of different kind of pollution.

Sir, Energy unused is energy saved.Residents should be created awareness about replacing incandescent bulbs with compact florescent bulbs that use less power to produce same amount of light.This would cut consumers electricity bills and the need for power.Encouraging the use of public transports by lowering the ticket price helps in least resource usage ways to move about.Industries,if they can produce their own energy using biomass,reduces their heavy reliability on fossil fuels.

sirji,all small shop (pan shop,street food shop etc)must have dustwin should be provided with subsidise price . Dustwin garbage collected daily or two days basis. which help to increase employment peoples. biodegradable garbage can separate by machine, used for making mannure(khad) by bacterial and fungal treatment and plastic material use for making tar (road making material)... this idea involve for employement and fund percolated to society.

for creating a pollution free zone,firstly factories are set up at a distant place, an industrial complex far away from the township.find out how to avoid harmful smoke from running vehicles,taking even-odd system for vehicles or using Eco-friendly vehicles.increase the numbers of parks an forests, and planting more trees.awareness of people...

most important thing we should control population growth and and proper grabage cleaning facility as in west and we should give this contract to private firm to help in cleaning india and swach bharat mission can only complete if we give cleaning projects to private firm and every one private sweeper do not work what they are paid for

we can also ask every home to have pollution absorbing plants in thier balcony and make having these plants in roof compulsory. but we should also take care of cities tree that they should have sufficient space for thier roots and no problem for tree. we can use technology for thier root problem issue

hi i believe this problem can only solved by having green belt in cities. we should plant trees and plants which absorb more polluttion but we should look that tree have sufficient area for roots in ground.

Dear Sir, Namaste, My concern is that if the people know that there will be problem of pollution due to industries, traffic etc then why don't they plan it before execution of various projects and schemes.For every work or thing there will be hazard for sure.Suitable risk assessments to be carried out and control measures needs to be taken.Now India has good hold over technologies.Then can't we take necessary safety measures before the problem arrives.

Prime Minister, Vande Matram I want that you should be launch for public awareness a magzine..in which magzine should be all govt planes rules regulation and complain and suggestion demand toll free number office adress apeal adress claim process ...it should be sold by all shops in accurate rate with tax ...it should be early quickly.
