I used word privilege means it should be promoted and given importance more than every thing else including law. For. If a walking person or cycle person cross road and got accident of his own mistake than also first responsibility should lie on counter part. Like we favor women in our society. Than only private vehicle will have mindset like in foreign countries.

Govt. Should compulsorily build walk way, cycle track & BRTS privilege route in middle of roads. People will use it if provided. As there r only roads initiative taken by govt. people were forced to have private vehicle. Ban vehicles for school from 8th to college or inspire youth to use walk way, cycle or public transport.

#Chandigarh-Pollution Control Suggestions -II
1. 'Each One Plant One' - better survival rate, improved green cover
2. Awareness campaigns -car pooling, adopt '3R', cycle / walk to nearby market, say no to horn honking, on regular basis
3. Stricter management/conservation of choes
4. Train an army of rag pickers, increase mobile toilets, dustbins, for better waste management
5. Set up community water purifiers in slums, villages

#Chandigarh - Pollution control - suggestions
1. Basically an administrative city, hence, Governments, PSUs, Institutions should provide free staff bus service to its personnel. Corporates may also adopt the same.
2. Public transport, i.e.,midi and mini buses need to be increased four times,to be supplemented by 3 wheelers,e-rickshaws
3. Regular awareness campaigns
This will lead to considerable reduction in vehicles.

This is not only for Chandigarh but also for other 100 smart cities.Though, bicycling has a many advantages, those who decide to do cycling has many constraints which include non availability of exclusive cycle lanes. In growing economy like ours it is easy to concentrate on future cities (targeted cities) and develop healthy societies at an affordable cost. As a first step road side encroachment on the high road at least 15 KMS from the city center should be cleared for cycle lanes.

I think first of all we need to create and enforce central pollution certificate system which is centrally controlled and governed so that acurate pollution certificates are generated. Systems available at Pollution check stations will be in read only mode with connection to central system. Every certificate generation will be recorded in the central system also. This system could be more strict and complaint. This will anyways reduces the traffic pollution.

government must consider Land Pollution by Municipality. 100% People must separate both bio degradable and non bio degradable waste and submit to municipality.Road side waste must be collected by bins and disposed. workers must be allocated in wards to collect waste.
