With challenges of rapid urbanisation ahead and the promise to conserve the green heritage of “City Beautiful”, Chandigarh Administration is always committed to create a clean and healthy environment for its resident, commuters & tourists. Eco-friendly & sustainable technologies will be focus of city under “Smart City Mission”.

As per the “Rank of Cities on Sanitation 2009-2010” Report (issued by Ministry of Urban Development, GoI) Chandigarh emerged as the cleanest city in India, with a rating of 73.48 points followed by Mysore in the second place with 70.65 points. However the Administration still strives for more better & effective solutions on sanitation and cleanliness which should come directly from its residents. Sir, we required more urinals. Frequency of 1/2km. This is achievable, if we involved the private firms. To advertise they invest huge amount. And pay rental for hoardings. Now if we ask them to built the urinals for certain Road / area / sector and maintain it. Against it they can use the wall facing to public or road side for their product adv. And they will not pay any rental for 5 years. Density of dustbin and capacity of urinals can be decided according to area. After 5 years

Sir we need to refurnish all our Indian government sector hospitals for the growth of the country. Presently the patients are rushing towards private sector where the price range is very expensive and normal salaried person cannot afford. We should renovate all government hospitals throughout India to capture all class of patients. This will be a great step towards our nation betterment with the slogan of Healthy & wealthy India..! There are lot of things to be done before declaring city beautiful. Public health department when asked to clean rain/storm water drains is not done. If some one asked to clean the sewage in front of house/flat public health official tell it is not our duty u pay the money to same person he will do. Therefore we need to organize this department. If some one throwing malba on road he/she should be fined. people are not maintaining over head water tanks. depute a person with challan book wher
