Varanasi has been selected by MoUD, GoI under Smart City Mission Phase-I 100 cities. To be selected within 20 Cities of Phase-2, a Smart City Plan has to be prepared and submitted. Smart City Plan will be prepared by consultation and suggestions of Citizens, Stakeholders and residents regarding city services viz 24x7 Electricity and Water supply, Sanitation & Waste Management, Street Lighting, Transportation, Roads/streets/Pedestrian lane, Health, Education, eGovernance, Tech-savvy (Communication, Internet Connectivity), Clean & Green Environment, Old men, Women & Child Security.

Citizens are requested to suggest innovative, sustainable and SMART solutions regarding services for under below area based strategies:

1. PAN City Initiative : Selection of a service by citizen for implementation of that service on entire city

2. Area Based Development: Selection of specified area rather than entire city based on three models:

a. Retrofitting: (Planning and improvement of infrastructure in an existing City built-up area of at least 500 acre)
b. Redevelopment: (Replacement of existing built-up area and co-creation of new layout with enhanced infrastructure within minimum 50 acre of area)
c. Greenfield: (Planning and development of all and entire infrastructure required for a city on at least 250 acre area Green/Open/unused land adjacent to current city limit. Land can be acquired by land pooling on PPP) based on viability

The city of varanasi requires to ensure basic infrastructure services to enable a decent quality of life in urban pockets and a clean and sustainable environment and adoption of smart solutions and providing more public spaces to poor. It may be implemented through areas based approach consisting of retrofitting, re-development, pan city initiatives. There is also need of hours to develop and adopt a model code for development of new cities Pan India for continuous pace of Smart Development.

In todays scenerio the first thing that should be taught to girls right from their formative years is that they neeed to be mentally strong to face challenges and impart martial training to secure their self respect.The schools should include this as a part of their curriculum.

Govt should focus on; 1. Teach discipline to citizens as they are undisciplined, 2. tree plantation, as abad is having very less trees in the city. 3. Proper city planning for infrastructure. 4. Neat & Clean Roads 5. Water supply as is always suffers from Drought. 6. Our leaders should be reviewed by PM for the progress.

Important points to make varanasi smarter 1) There should be maximum numbers of gardens for the all 2) All roads should provided with good landscape and plantation on dividers 3) public transport should be proper and efficient by proper management of service. 4)Maximum use of solar energy for street lights, signals and all other applications 5) There should be a app of city where all of us can complaint about our problem and app will be directly connected with respective authority

There isn't one thing. All the points given in the poll are important . Thane city should work on all the areas to get forward on path towards being called as SMART CITY.

To become a smart city, first of all infrastructure should be developed that is roads, roads are very poor in this city and secondly water supply is also poor. First these issues should be solved and tourism infrastructure should be developed like transport service to historical places nearby.
