2.13. 7,502 cases of rioting were
reported in the State In 2012. The
contribution of four cities was 845 cases
(11.26%). Maximum number of 551 cases
were reported from Bangalore City
followed by Mangalore City 112, Hubli –
Dharwad City with 94 cases and Mysore
city with 88 cases.

Theft
2.12. 11,010 cases were reported in the
four cities in 2012 amounting to 59.78% of
the total theft cases reported in the State.
There is a decrease of 587 cases over the
previous year. Bangalore City had
reported maximum number of theft cases
(9,826) among the cities, followed by
Mysore city with (661), Hubli Dharwad City
with 290 and Mangalore City with 233
cases.

the population in the normal manner can be projected to be 27,96,527 as per state census. Tumkur town with a growth rate of 3.75% will grow from 5,96,347 to 6,54,242.
