The Tumakuru city, Karnataka has been qualified under Government of India “Smart City Mission”. The second stage of city challenge is the preparation of “vision and proposal” for Tumakuru City. Hence, the current exercise is to prepare and submit the statement of vision along with the proposal to the Government of India through the active participation of citizens.

Tumakuru City makes an appeal with its citizens to formulate vision and give suggestions to prepare proposal to make it ‘Smart City’.

The Citizens are requested to formulate the vision, strategies of retrofit, redevelopment, green field and pan city as per Smart City Mission statement and Guidelines of Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

Please send your valuable opinions, suggestions, the proposals if any and feedback latest by 4th December, 2015.

Offences under Registration of Foreigners Act & Passport Act. 2.25.1. 71 Cases were registered during the year 2012 under the Registration of Foreigners Act in the State. 64 cases have been reported form the four cities accounting for 90.14%. Bangalore city reported 62, Mysore City and Mangalore City 1 case each have been reported.

Immoral Traffic Offences 2.24. Immoral traffic is predominantly Urban specific. The four cities contributed to 67.46% of cases in the State (State Total 335) with Bangalore city accounting for 160 cases followed by Hubli Dharwad City for 34 cases, Mysore city for 23 cases and Mangalore City 9 cases reported this year

Gambling Cases 2.23. 548 cases reported under the head `Gambling’ in 2012, in the four cities, accounted for 7.65% of all such offences reported in the State (7161). 348 incidence from Bangalore City, 118 cases from Hubli Dharwad city 43 cases from Mangalore City and 39 from Mysore City have been reported.

2.22.2. Bangalore city reported the most number of cases (42) followed by Mangalore City 9, Mysore City (7) and Hubli-Dharwad City (2).
