Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation has been ranked first among 12 cities selected for implementing Smart City project in Tamil Nadu and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Tiruchirappalli are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security. Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutionsin Tiruchirappalli.

Let us join hands together in making Tiruchirappalli a global Smart City!

Efficient design of buildings, optimal dimensioning of energy sources,comfortability-related monitoring. Implementation of smart energy control systems and consumption prediction systems. Symbiotic industrial-residential / tertiary systems taking advantage of residual industrial heat for residential or tertiary uses, for instance. Efficient thermal systems: residual heat recovery, heat exchangers, air conditioning or cooling systems.

Trichy smart city should preserve historic monument,very close to the existing city, to be developed as a Blue Green city with well planned layout,water supply,sewerage facilities and seepage management,solid waste management,storm water drains, road, public transport for electric/solar/bio gas/bio fuel operated public transport system , non-motorized transport,and green spaces and parks, affordable housing and to provide livable pollution free healthy environment to all citizens Raj,Lebanon

trichy become a metropolitan city because the airport near from trichy and the cauvery bridge nearer from trichy.rock port make the trichy city brighter we easily implement any projects on the trichy.all sources are available in trichy include water facility,airport,railway station, bus stands and the rock port and bajars are located in trichy.i think trichy is a less traffic city compare with other cities so we easily control the highways in the trichy

smart city trichy is a good vision in trichy.trichy is a busy city in tamil nadu. so we provide a full cameras in the roads to avoid the accidents and caught the acquists who make the accidents.and also provide a card to all iso helmat buyers.we provide one commmon card for passangers travel in the bus which is connected to his personal account to make the payment in buses by using magnetic card readers

The right location for the smart city should be close to the historical places like Rockfort, visible from Srirangam and on bank of the Cauvery river along the Kallanai road at a reasonable distance from national highways NH 45B & NH 67. It should be a well planned blue green city to be very close to the existing city but not within the existing unplanned city as the smart city should be a strictly with Green city concept, healthy, free from pollution , traffic and drainage system Raj,Lebanon

Trichy smart city should be a well planned blue green city at the bank of Cauvery river, visible from the historical places like Rockfort, Srirangam, Kallanai dam,etc, very close to the existing city and the airport. It should promote green energy in a big way, solar/ electrical /bio gas/bio fuel operated vehicles only should be permitted,10 % of land for greenery, rain water harvesting, organic farming, closed drainage, solid/liquid waste management system, etc should be in place Raj,Lebanon

WORLD CLASS ROUNDABOUTS IN THE CITY (6) Which should have Flower Plants in the middle, Signal Lamps, Sign Boards, Pedestrian Crossing, Speed Breakers (Where ever required) and Centre median in all 4 directions. These 2 WORLD CLASS ROUND ABOUTs should be built under the Smart City Project to make Tiruchirappali a True world Class Smart City.

WORLD CLASS ROUNDABOUTS IN THE CITY (5) This Four Road Junction near the Ayyappan Temple is having Signal Points and Traffic Constable at the busy hours, without having any Sign Boards. The newly constructed road along the Uyyakondan canal behind the Court Complex is a beautiful location and suitable for converting into a WORLD CLASS ROUND ABOUT.

WORLD CLASS ROUNDABOUTS IN THE CITY (4) 1. Shastri Road from Thillai Nagar (New Road, along the Uyyakondan Canal) 2. Road towards Court Complex, All India Radio and Corporation 3. Ayyappan Temple Road 4. Government Hospital Road, further to Puthur, Vayalur, Woraiyur and Thillai Nagar This junction currently attracts more traffic, since all the Buses which are coming from outside the city are routed through this junction to go to the Central Bus Stand.
