The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

In case, the pasighat can be selected in smart city then it offers sustainable in terms of electronic activities and employment opportunities to a wide section of its residents skill our income levels.

Pasighat roads of this oldest city in the world is too congested and are not wide enough to take the load of city's traffic. We should try to speed up the work of metro rail and flyovers on priority basis. Good Transport system is the main pillar of a Smart City.

In terms of infrastructure, the smart cities should have 24x7 availability of high quality utility services like waste and power,A robust transport system that emphasis on public transport is also a key element, in social infrastructure, the cities should provide opportunities for jobs and livelihood for its in habitants,

Pasighat was known as a clean and green city until recently. Now it is just another hub of unchecked concrete growth. Smart city should encompass revamping of sewage facilities, efficient waste disposal, planting and taking care of trees & cleanliness of lakes. Stress should be laid upon widespread usage of solar & wind energy in domestic activities. Traffic should be improved especially those vehicle owners directly and clearly responsible for not following traffic rules resulting in traffic.

If the pasighat is make a smart city then it brings together technology, govt. and society to enable the following characteristics smart cities, a smart city economy , smart environment, smart people etc.

The smart pasighat potentially of wind and hydro which will meet the need of power for smart city. Beside pasighat is well known for its friendly envioroment,PASIGHAT is one of the best town and its deserved to be a smart city.
