Namchi has been selected among the 100 shortlisted cities to participate in the Smart City Challenge initiated by Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. The UD&HD department, Government of Sikkim invites all the citizensand who all are interested in its development to share their ideas. Please join us in this journey to make Namchi a smart city by sharing you creative and valuable suggestions, ideas, solutions on various aspects for the development of Namchi. 1. Proper Sewage 2. Strict anti-spitting and anti-littering laws should be made. This will also bring down incidences of airborne diseases.

solid waste which is not recyclable must be utilized for road construction and bricks constructed . In any case rubber waste must not be put on fire , to avoid poluttions
