Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, in Karnataka State has been selected by the Ministry of Urban Development as one of the 100 smart cities to participate in the “Smart City” Challenge Stage-2 by the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation was constituted in the year 1962 by combining two cities separated by a distance of 20 kilometers. This was a unique experiment in urban development history. The area of this Corporation is 202.3sq.kms, spread over 45 revenue villages. The population of the city as per the 1991 Census was 7 lakhs. The present population is nearly more than 9.43 lakhs. Under the Government of India Act of 1850, the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal council was established on August 15, 1855.

A machine like ATM, where in people deposit the plastic waste(bottles,bags,etc) and get equivalent amount of money back. This helps in reducing the amount of plastic waste in garbage, burning of plastic and also Recycling of plastic waste gets easier.

1.under ground drainage system. 2.Main & internal roads be of cement. 3. 24x7 water supply. 4.three dustbins should be kept separately for dry, wet & metallic wastes. present vehicles should be slowly replaced by electric vehicles. 5.solar water for every house. 6.Sewage water treatment should be encouraged. 7.Pay & use toilets in market. 8.website for complaints and suggestions for gov work 9.National and international competition in sports and cultural. 10.Seperate lain for bicycle

hello smart people, We all come across a situation where we forget to take our vehicle related documents and license while going out on vehicle and if we are caught by traffic police either we pay fine or bring back the documents.But we often end up bribing police.
