Hubli is already a better place. The Hubli-Dharwad roads are being constructed since past few years. The roads can be made such that they absorb water and release it into the ground, to replenish the ground water. This idea is currently being in some parts of the world. And Wifi hotspots all over hubli should be installed.
Rain water is wasted. Rain water harvesting systems should be installed too.

Here are my points to make Hubli dharwad a smart city:
*Electricity should be supplied for 24 hours.
*Government buses should be increased to make transportation
easier.
*proper sanitation.
* poverty should be eradicated.
* use of energy saving devices like cfl bulbs.
* Good water facility.
* Parking areas should be enlarged.
* Development of industries.
* Increasing the hospitals.
* Growing green plants to reduce pollution.
* Use of solar cells to conserve energy.

Availability of wi-fi everywhere.And secondly roads being constructed should be of good quality.Roads must be in such away that it is in contact with footpath so that there will be less soil erosion.If a tree is being cut then we should plant 3to 4 trees across it so there will be a good pollution control,thus leading to the decrease in the rate of global warming.

The word 'smart' has many meanings.The most appropriate meaning the smart can have in 'The smart city' is clean and tidy,later comes the words 'bright and fresh in appearance'.My idea of making our city smart lies in the improvement of cleanliness in the city with the application of smart technologies in a systematic manner.since it is said that the very first step in getting ahead is to get started,if we get rid of this basic issue,surely our twin cities will be the most admirable smart city.
