The main objective of the smart city proposal is to promote and transform the existing cities with core infrastructure and Tourism Gateway development to give decent quality of life to its citizens in a clean and sustainable environment by application of 'smart' solutions.

Unlike a conventional scheme for development, this Smart city proposal is organized as a national wide competition among 100 cities by the Government of India. In the first level, 20 cities shall be shortlisted and taken up for further development in to smart cities. The remaining cities shall again compete to get selected in the next level.

Develop the city in all sectors like IT side ,education side,continuous water supply,widening of roads to reduce traffic problems,construction of subways and flyovers as to decrease traffic problems,etc

Signals should be automatic depending upon traffic,if at one side traffic is more it should be allowed to pass for more time,compared to the traffic were it is less.
