The main objective of the smart city proposal is to promote and transform the existing cities with core infrastructure and Tourism Gateway development to give decent quality of life to its citizens in a clean and sustainable environment by application of 'smart' solutions.

Unlike a conventional scheme for development, this Smart city proposal is organized as a national wide competition among 100 cities by the Government of India. In the first level, 20 cities shall be shortlisted and taken up for further development in to smart cities. The remaining cities shall again compete to get selected in the next level.

Your words will bring a change. Join hands in rejuvenating Biharsharif city and help Biharsharif Corporation to recognize and address the difficulties in your city and surroundings by sharing your views on “Smart Biharsharif”.

Reduce duplication of efforts. When smart city efforts are confined to departmental silos, functions are needlessly repeated. This unnecessary duplication may be avoided

Buildings that use smart devices to monitor conditions like energy use, water use, air quality and heat can capture data that building managers can use to make better decisions about managing resources.

1) wide and thick tar roads rather than cement roads 2) solar street lights 3) Animal welfare centres 4) More trees by the road sides

Smart city required smart people .if people r not smart then this project will not be any use .there fore we can teaching our people to get smart. & to improve people thinking capacity to arranged programmes.

Quality of road construction should be ensured by putting stringent conditions in tenders like maintenance of roads for a minimum period of five years.

New planning related suggestions: 1) Proper separation of residential areas with industrial and commercial areas 2) Relevant bypass roads for city so that undesired traffic do not enter the city 3) Flyovers or subways wherever seems necessary 4) Wider roads and well separated buildings with green areas in between 5) All town planning tasks only by educated and experienced consultants

Law and order related suggestions: 1) As we always witness many criminal cases on daily basis therefore, establishment of sufficient police stations and emergency action facilities 2) Establishment of CCTV cameras at various locations with redundancy 3) Innovative ideas to reduce /eliminate corruption

Sports and recreation related suggestions: 1) Develop sports complexes at various locations within city for jogging, playing table tennis, lawn tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming etc. at minimal membership costs 2) Develop parks at various locations within city for walking, family outdoor activities and picnics etc.
