Shri Narendra Modi was sworn-in as India’s Prime Minister on 30th May 2019, marking the start of his second term in office. The first ever Prime Minister to be born after Independence, Shri Modi has previously served as the Prime Minister of India from 2014 to 2019. He also has the distinction of being the longest serving Chief Minister of Gujarat with his term spanning from October 2001 to May 2014. In the 2014 and 2019 Parliamentary elections, Shri Modi led the Bharatiya Janata Party to record wins, securing absolute majority on both occasions. The last time that a political party secured such an absolute majority was in the elections of 1984. Inspired by the motto of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’, Shri Modi has ushered in a paradigm shift in governance that has led to inclusive, development-oriented and corruption-free governance. The Prime Minister has worked with speed and scale to realise the aim of Antyodaya, or ensuring proper facilities.

If these artisans are connected with the digital market and trained in terms of updating their products in a way that it can be affordable to the market as well as less consuming to them it can create a boom in their respective industries. As part of the NEP 2020 vocational courses are introduced in the schools we can also give hands-on experience to the young minds about the culture of the country with the products of the artisans. The artisans can also be trained in terms of marketing their products and the basic communication as sellers so that they do no remain meagre artisans but can be entrepreneurs. Industries and large companies who are into allied activities can purchase products from the artisans. There can be frequent exhibitions that are strategically designed to connect the audience to the artisans. Artisans are one of the link that connects the common citizens of India to the roots of the country.

it's universal observation, when ever any family is in worst financial situations, ladies come out as a small entrepreneurs use their basic skills. They don't need management training, their survival instincts suffice to succeed. This natural instinct when supported by some funding, some local bodies or govt for marketing, administration this sector will overcome present micro businesses. They do have many ancestral skills in home medicine, food items, crafts, preservation techniques, tailoring, embroidery, bamboo crafts, or articles from natural resources. Problem is they can't seek beyond local market or coloney. They don't know if a small trick or technology may open a new market and where. A small Startup or Apps, an exposure will generate a new sector. in fact this silent streme do exists as undercurrent, and much below well known unorganized sector and waiting to surface out.

In India there are millions of artisans who are dependent on their skill for their livelihood. They are not professionally trained or educated with the latest technology, market demand and innovate methodology in terms of their products. It can be handicraft, painting, sculpture, etc. Whatever practice they have is acquired in traditional method mostly in the remote rural areas of the country. These millions of artisans have products that are unique in their own way. But as they lack the exposure and hence left behind. Whereas in reality there is a huge demand for these products in the country as well as internationally. Mostly these are women artisans who take care of family, also do the household chores as well as perform other activities to earn minimum income for their family. There are various institutions who are dedicated specially either to provide these artisans financial aid, market exposure, product development , etc.
