In the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat on 27th September 2020, Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi spoke about the art of storytelling. He mentioned that the history of stories is as ancient as the human civilization itself. ‘Where there is a soul, there is a story’.

As we are going to celebrate 75 years of independence, Prime Minister urged storytellers across the Nation to share stories of many inspiring events during the entire period of our enslavement. Especially, from 1857 to 1947, stories around every major or minor incident during this period can be introduced to our new generation.

“May this art of storytelling become stronger in the country, become more popularized and easier to imbibe - this is something we must all strive for”: PM Narendra Modi

Do you know of any inspiring event during the 1857-1947 freedom struggle that isn’t so well known? Maybe a long-forgotten hero who did not get as much prominence as he/she deserved? Maybe an incident which played a minor but important role in our struggle? A story you might have heard from a family elder, many years ago?

Tell us, we will feature your story for all Indians!

Share your story in the form of a video, audio clip, picture or essay.

Respected Prime minister sir As we are promoting INDIA And it's Culture all over the world but as in recent years our society is facing a very brutal problem of RAP.. I think the dream which we saw of India becoming self relevant can only be achieved if the Women , Girls of Our Nation will be safe... THERE SHOULD BE A VERY STRICT PUNISHMENTS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE DONE THIS SIN. I BEG YOUR PARDON TO LOOK INTO THIS MATTER SIR Really it feels very bad to hear this news daily......

Time to understand Reality: - India got Independence due to efforts tactics and pressure by Mr. Subhash Chandra Bose. - India should adopt it's original trade techniques instead of Foreign Banking practices as they result in downward economy and dependence on foreign policies resulting non-freedom. - India should learn from its past that how others conquer or rule over India on pretext of trade practices. - India should avoid taxation practices to become richest by implementing it's techniques.

Tara Rani Srivastava Along with her husband, she led a procession in front of the Siwan Police Station. Though he was shot, she bandaged his wounds and kept going forward. By the time she returned, he had died. However, her will to go on was stronger still and she continued to fight holding the flag high.

Senapati Bapat As leader of the Mulshi Satyagraha, he got the title of Senapati. He got the honour of hoisting the Indian flag in Pune for the first time after independence. He had been jailed for public speaking as well as for vandalism, after which he turned himself in because as a satyagrahi, he was not supposed to follow the path of violence
