When the first elections took place for the PM's post, it was Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who won the elections, however, Nehru didn't want to be secondary and because he was close to Mahatama Gandhi Nehru was made the Prime Minister of India and Patel was pulled down.

The meaning of “The Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka” is that King George V is the lord of the masses and Bharata Bhagya Vidhata is "the conveyer of the good fortune of whole country". To honour the visit of King George v, Pandit Motilal Nehru had the five stanzas included, which are in praise of the King and Queen.
It is high time now that we realize after so many years of freedom we are still singing praise of our rulers. Like the names of roads and museum were changed, it should also change.

One of the youngest revolutionaries of the Indian freedom struggle, he was hung on August 11, 1908, when he was just 18 years old. Khudiram was possessed by the spirit of the freedom movement when he heard a series of public lectures held in Medinipur, by Sri Aurobindo and Sister Nivedita. He became a volunteer when he was just 15, and courted his first arrest for distributing pamphlets against the British rule in India.
There are many accounts to describe the actual course of events. However,

15th August 1947, dawned revealing the dual reality of Independence and partition. As always, between the two of them, Gandhiji and Nehru mirrored the feelings of the Indian people. Gandhiji prayed in Calcutta for an end to the carnage taking place. His close follower, Mridula Sarabhai, sat consoling a homeless, abducted 15-year-old girl in a room somewhere in Bombay. Gandhiji's prayers were reflective of the goings on in the dark, the murders, abductions and rapes.
