In the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat on 27th September 2020, Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi spoke about the art of storytelling. He mentioned that the history of stories is as ancient as the human civilization itself. ‘Where there is a soul, there is a story’.

As we are going to celebrate 75 years of independence, Prime Minister urged storytellers across the Nation to share stories of many inspiring events during the entire period of our enslavement. Especially, from 1857 to 1947, stories around every major or minor incident during this period can be introduced to our new generation.

“May this art of storytelling become stronger in the country, become more popularized and easier to imbibe - this is something we must all strive for”: PM Narendra Modi

Do you know of any inspiring event during the 1857-1947 freedom struggle that isn’t so well known? Maybe a long-forgotten hero who did not get as much prominence as he/she deserved? Maybe an incident which played a minor but important role in our struggle? A story you might have heard from a family elder, many years ago?

Tell us, we will feature your story for all Indians!

Share your story in the form of a video, audio clip, picture or essay.

As we know that our freedom struggle have started from Revolt of 1857,It was known as the first war of independence, Sepoy Mutiny was also emerged, After the Revolt of 1857,Partition of Bengal also took place by lord curzon ,that time Swadeshi organization was formed, It was started by Aurobindo Ghosh. Please stop celebrating August 15 th aa Independence day of India. India was independent from its origin until Britishers ruled us. It's just 190 years among some lakhs of years that we were ruled by them. For just 190 years, we can't say that we became independent nation on August 15, 1947. Celebrating August 15th as Independence day conveys the meaning that we were under British rule from our Origin till 1947. Instead we can celebrate August 15th as Day of victory against British. The present politicians they donot bother about future generation and development most of them are having criminal background and tax evaders and they take the loopholes of the acts and grab the national property by keeping Benami transactions and land settlements. They will collect use funds from public for party fund and thereby purchasing votes from poor and unethical people. They want power no human values or party values. No vision, everytime comparing the previous people bad things.Jaihind

Our leaders have sacrificed their properties and personnel life without expecting any honour or reward. They have given this Independence to all but even after 73years the poor and middle class people are in the same position. They are behind in education, health and sanitation. There is no social security. Health should be taken care. Reservation should be given on the basis of merit and income criteria not on the basis of caste, religion or gender. Equal opportunity to all. Jaihind.
