The role of new and renewable energy has been increasing significantly in recent times with the growing concern for the country's energy security. To achieve energy self-sufficiency, it is necessary to deploy new and renewable energy for supplementing the energy requirements of our country. So, we ask you to suggest ways for encouraging the use of renewable energy on this open discussion forum.

Gov Dept need to start using LED, most of the gov office are still on regular bulbs and light. and should ask them to be self sufficient to energy requirement using solar panel. Gov should provide intensive to individual for green energy. Like if someone will install the solar panel then Elec dept will install the meter with the panel and user need to paid with some amount (direct transfer using adhar) by number of units he will use through green energy (may be Rs 4 -5 / unit) monthly.

Micro-inverters have IEC standards for compatibility with the Electric Power Grid and these should be accepted for the micro-inverters. No time should be wasted in forming Indian standards for grid tied micro-inverters. Micro-inverters could also be part of "Make in India". Millions of households can play a role in India's Energy Security. The micro-inverters made in India could lead us to world leadership as well. Current interest in PV energy storage will not matter to low PV energy generation

Sir Govt may provide solar panel freely & agreement maybe made with owener for three to four years of electricity generated maybe transfer to grid & allow the owner to utilize the electricity freely. After the end of agreement the generated electricity maybe calculated & paid to owener.

Indians should be allowed to connect PV modules with micro-inverters to the electricity power grid upto a maximum of 20% of their connected load or 500 Watt without any approval , permission or application to the power utility. Reverse metering or payment to the households can be a later agreement between the electricity utility and the household. Hopefully, such microinverter connection will only reduce the power consumption by the household during daytime.
