When you celebrate Bharatiya Pravasi Divas, let all Indian NRI;s be proud of this moment.Let them feel that they are not ignored.Repeated dejection & don't care attitude have made them loose their faith in Indian Govt. I am sure the Modi Govt. is different.Let the MEA of respective countries work tirelessly(pls awake frm deep slumber)understanding their grievances & finding solutions to it.Let's follow Den Xia Peng's China where he encouraged everyone who stay abroad to send money to China.

Allow NRIs to get things that are anyway imported into India in large quantities and sell here. Also let them buy stuff that's famous from here and sell it in their respective countries, Let this trade allow them to recover their travel expenses. This will encourage them to come here more often. The goods brought in are anyway imported hence will not hurt the business here and the export of Indian goods would be a small but significant benefit.

Start high tech public sector industries in which skills of NRI can be meaningfully utilized for permanent growth of India.
Foreign companies will never develop India. Do not look at the money in the pocket of NRI, look at the skills and love for India in their brain. All NRI are eager to return and serve India if govt. of india can offer them harassment free environment. Uptil now indian govt. has been interested in remittances from abroad and not in their skills.

Service Tax on NRI remittance is a retro step discouraging lacs of NRI, spread all over the world, from remitting money to India. It is also a surprize after our Prime Minister's great initiatives announced at the Madison Square, New York. It need to be reversed immediately

We can encourage NRIs to import Indian manufactured products to their respective countries and create a market for Indian products. Also, not looking at hefty profit margin in order to create a spread for our products. Mostly our products are comparatively inexpensive. Therefore, while they all are here on the sideline we can exhibit our products with all the relevant informations. Ayurveda can have very good scope in the foreign markets if we are able to methodically introduce.
