Commercial section at Each Embassy should have monthly meeting with leading NRI/Business groups in country to understand the areas of improvement, Export promotion from India to country,Investment opportunities either in India or abroad, key inputs of policy to pass to Indian government as well as support required by NRI/Business in country, so that Diplomatically message can be passed to the country Government administration.

Members of the diaspora need to establish technical and social collaboration with the talent pool of native system. This is very much possible through the present day social networking systems. These virtual connections lay the foundation for transferring diaspora knowledge to our motherland. I am pleased to inform that our corrosion control community is successful in building a group called We CAN Control Corrosion in India to bridge Indian diaspora with the internal talent system.

For growth of exports or Indian companies, It is important to engage Indian business groups and NRI in each country, any business delegation from India first should interact with Business group/NRI at visiting country, and then make proper agenda, plan and business cooperation. Also in each country, We should have some NRI as business Ambassadors for India. A regular interaction to explore opportunities for Indian exports should be priority for these Ambassadors.

We don't have money and skilled manpower to setup good Institutes. First of all we need to generate more Income for the Govt. by increasing the Taxpayer numbers

The bulk of Indian higher education, especially in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is of very poor quality. The good institutions are far and few between; the rest are not worth the space they occupy. I spent three years between 2009 and 2012 doing campus recruitment Gujarat; smart kids but terrible engineers because of the very poor quality of institutions and teaching staff. I believe NRIs and PIOs such as myself can make a huge difference here if given the chance.

One of the best ways to improve DRDO and other tech organizations is to reach out to all the scientists of Indian origin in US, UK and other countries and woo them to come serve mother land. I think Indian embassies should take up this cause and reach out to every university and start reverse brain drain.
