Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, with its order dated 1st May 2016, had constituted a Review Committee for rationalisation and optimisation of the functioning of the Sector Skill Councils, under the Chairmanship of Sh. Sharada Prasad, Former Director General, Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of lndia.

In order to engage with stakeholders and gather valuable suggestions/comments from the public, MSDE has put the Report of the Committee for rationalisation & optimisation of the functioning of the Sector Skill Councils for the public.

Last date of submission of suggestions is 23rd May, 2017

SIR, OUR SCHOOL SYLLABUS BOUND US TO STUDY TOO MANY SUBJECTS.RESULT IS THAT OUR YOUTHS HAVE DEGREE WITHOUT SKILL. CAN WE AMEND OUR SYLLABUS TO MEET THE CURRENT GLOBAL TREND AND MAKE IT MORE SKILL ORIENTED WITH ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILLS. STUDENTS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO CHOOSE SUBJECTS OF THEIR CHOICE FROM VERY EARLY CLASS ,SAY CLASS 6TH. AND THEN LET THEM BECOME EXPERT IN THEIR CHOICE FIELD. XII CLASS SHOULD HAVE ONLY 02 SUBJECTS , ONE LANGUAGE AND ONE SUBJECT ; OR TWO LANGUAGE ; OR TWO SUBJECTS.

i am senior citizen from mumbai. pl give us a list of courses/activities/ any other idea which can be taken up by any citizen to promote skill development. volumes given under this chapter is too lengthy and complicated to go thru for many of senior citizens. i am interested in working for less fortunate to study without any monetary consideration.pl gIve some direction to to work under PMKVY to me and many other senior citizens. 9870108202, knlmod@live.com

Sir, Attempt is made to go through 3 volumes but found it difficult to assimilate more than 500 pages information in short time. Anyway some points are listed in the attached document which may be helpful. Once again request that if suggestions on such reports are sought, some more time should be given so that after going through the report and linking various points, more meaningful suggestions can be made.

Sir if we talk about skill and employment in small cities the major industry is agriculture and this is the segment where we can generate employment and skilled workers for the same. We should have easy loan facility with tax holiday for eg 2 years for people starting small scale food processing plants and we can promote organic farming as mandatory clause wherein a person can adopt or lease land using organic ways to cultivate crop to match international standards.
