Lack of livelihood opportunities for tribal people is one of the chief causes of their backward status as compared with the other social groups. This issue is aggravated by the high rate of displacements faced by tribal people due to various industrial projects etc., which also causes loss of livelihood for them among other things. This Ministry has been taking various steps for facilitating sustainable livelihood for tribal populations in different sectors. Stress has been given on vocational education and formal technical education for tribal youth. States are being encouraged to take upskill development initiatives for tribal youth with at least 50% of such activities to be oriented for women.

Through MyGov, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs seeks suggestions/information from all sections of the society regarding various livelihood possibilities for tribal people, availability of skilled/unskilled manpower still unemployed, various traditional skills available with the tribal population, new trends and interests among tribal youth, corresponding skilling needs and possibilities etc.

Instead of speaking of lively hood of our own people of the Country Bharath. We must give equal respect to them and include them into modern India growth story. In our puranas we respect sages who lives in forest and get benefit from them. Why in the modern period using word tribals and then discriminating them. Please give them Education and respect rest will follow

Tribals usually have good physique & endurance capacity. So they should be recruited as Guards in Forest Dept, and in Army/ Paramilitary. Also suited to local needs/ demands, skill training in agro, cattle, poultry, handloom, handicraft etc.with small loans should be provided to them. No one likes to be displaced from their native habitat.Same is the case with the tribals. Resettlement must be nearest to their earlier place. Compensation should also be with monthly payment.

Tribals do have knowledge on their works. Provide better education to them and bring their talents out! Arrange special outlets to sell their products.

Various research on alternative natural food supplement into diet of tribal and forest dwellers are well researched and implemented. Like mushroom farming training by the directorate of national Mushroom farming research centers. Various type of edible mushroom which grow naturally can be good addition, where each edible mushroom can be of 18cm+ and weigh around 100gm - 150 gms and don't need expensive cooling. These can be double boon of nutrition and means of livelihood. Successfully grown.

Tribal women folk can be empowered through various agribusiness models,so let's focus on it. The focus should be given to North Eastern States, where options are limited.

To see the development in Tribal Region we must ensure to healthy drinking & cooking water . I propose to have a RO Water plant in every small village and charge nominal to maintain the same . Manufacturing RO Water plant should be a free hold technology promoted by GOVT itself . Or NGO should take up responsibility to train the benefit of healthy drinking water and implement the same . I am in talk with my friends of Vivekananda Kendra to implement 1 unit on my behalf as pilot project .
