Post 6 ( Contd):
They should be educated on where to sell and on what rates( though they sre more awared these days.)
Education as well as awareness and a ray of hope should be given to them.
Now the last issueis access to drinking water/ roads / fuel for kitchen kills their half of the day time and they can not think beyond these daily issues. They should be given access to nearby drinking water facility. Solar electricity if cabled electricty not feasible. This will allow them to think.

Post(5) Contd.:
Tribals rear chickens, goats etc but due to imprper guidance they dont do it on commercial level. Guidance is required in form of camps in "Haat( weekly market)".
This can be achieved by NGOs or govt on how they can earn more.
To sell above products they need corruption free access. Police demand money on checkpoints. Railway TTE demands money while travelling( this is biggest problem)then finally its the middlemen.

Post 4( Contd):
Strict laws( SC/ST atrocities act already in place )- in such incidences strong action should be taken within 3 months against the culprits and it should be headed in each commissionaries by able IAS/IPS officers.
Lack of irrigation can be overcome with micro-irrigation system( small check dams etc.). However, it was implemented but due to corruption most of the check dams are breached or of low quality.

Post3( Contd):
access to banks where they can easily save their money ( micro finance firms are required.)
As they are less educated they are more prone to cheating by even their own people. This creates a unique problem that they dont want to save money as it may be lost to cheaters( its a psychological barrier). It can be overcome by NGOs by educating them on how to save and what not to do to avoid such cases.

Post2 (contd):
5>Lack of saving tendency
6>Corruption free access to market( Police, railways,roads)
7> lack of irrigation/storage facility

I would like to share the entire picture point wise and as blog soze is restricted to 500 words, I would paste in 4-5 posts:
Major Positive point of Tribal People :
1> They have land
2> No use of fertilizer in agriculture( this can give them more price for Organic farming)
The hinderances are:
1>Lack of education
2>Lack of awareness
3>No formal or organized way to sell their produces( crop or forest products)
4>No access to Banking system

Most of tribal people are naturally talented. Little education and training will turn them in to great work force. In Western India, tribal people have more opportunity than other parts of India. In Dadra and Nagar Haveli most of tribal people are involved in vegetable farming, tea & food stalls, Industrial contracts, transport service and many other areas. Tribal people are hard working people and within some years they will emerge as new work force.

They show the real cultural diversity of India, don't exploit them in the name of development, respect their culture and user friendly administration schemes, encourage small cottage entrepreneurs, such as handicrafts, and to allow them to enjoy the Forest Rights in the name of Livelihood.....

Empowerment through energy, infrastructure, agriculture, education & health is key to a sustainable livelihood opportunities for tribal people. If we can ensure continuous supply of all these through targeted action, than it will definitely change the landscape of tribal people & their surroundings. Access to credit is also a big concern hence they can not turn their skills to scalability and in the absence of organsized markets, all these a distant dream. We may have to relook at the strategy
