Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the 98 cities shortlisted to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India. Kalyan Dombivli is in the process of revising the smart city proposal to participate in the Round-2 of Smart City Challenge.

KDMC appreciates the continuous support from citizens in the preparation of the plan. Further, the corporation invites the views and suggestions of the citizens on the draft proposal prepared for Kalyan-Dombivli. We hereby request you to provide us your valuable insights and suggestions on the proposal.

Waste Management • Keep recycling bins every 100 feet and collect regularly. • Establish waste collection system at all levels • Establish community Bio compost • Establish community Recycling centres • Proper underground drainage system

Focus should be on making things smarter by using the measurements coming from devices connected to the internet(Internet of Things) for efficient resource utilization. These smart devices could be used for(in the order of priority), 1.Smart Water management 2.Smart Waste Management 3.Smart Agriculture 4.Smart Safety and Parking systems 5.Smart Health. 6.Smart electricity grid(usage of solar devices)

As per the ongoing scenarios, water scarcity is not only Kalyan Dombivli's problem but it is impacting every city in the country. With growing population in the KDMC area, it is the utmost requirement to build a dam for KDMC in line with MCGM and Thane whom are having their own dams for water supply

Solid waste management in the KDMC area shall be taken up at the priority. Inproper dumping of waste and inefficient management of waste is causing too much problem and impacting the natural surrounding. All the dumping sites shall be closed according to the scientific procedures as laid down in the MSW 2016 guidelines. KDMC needs Biogas plants and Waste to Energy Plant running on incineration technology which will help in managing the solid waste.

दुर्गाडी बायपास त्वरित सुरू करावा तसेच दुर्गाडी ते पत्रीपूल उडडाण पुल बांधणेत यावा मेडिकल कॉलेज सुरू करावे मंबई प्रमाणे सुसज्ज हॉस्पिटल बांधावे स्टेशन रोड ट्रॅफिक मुक्त करावा तेथे ठाणेसारखा सॅटिस प्रकल्प करावा पर्यटनासाठी विविध ठिकाणी तलाव विकसित करावे गुजरात राज्याच्या साबरमती प्राेजेक्ट प्रमाणे कल्याण ते डोंबिवली खाडी किनारा सुशाेभिकरण व जलवाहतूक सुरू करावी नवीन बांधकाम परवानगी देताना रेन वॉटर हार्वेस्टींग सोलर सिस्टीम व वृक्ष लागवड कचरा निर्मुलन इत्यादी बंधनकारक करावे
