Role of Tribal Communities in the Vikshit Bharat Initiative The vision of Vikshit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047 is a long-term national goal to transform India into a prosperous, inclusive, and globally respected nation. This vision emphasizes inclusive development, where every community, including the historically marginalized tribal communities (Scheduled Tribes), has an active role in nation-building. Tribal communities, who make up over 8.6% of India’s population, are key contributors to India’s social, cultural, ecological, and economic fabric.
