Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance or UMANG developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology was inspired from the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister, who said “e-Governance, let us think about ‘mobile first’ and thus give importance to m-Governance”.

On November 23, 2017, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi dedicated the UMANG Mobile app to the Nation with 163 services. UMANG is an initiative to build a common, unified platform, aggregating major government services of Center, States, local bodies, including important utility services, to facilitate a single point access through mobile app, anytime, anywhere. Citizens need to download just one mobile application and can access multiple services.

UMANG was envisaged to have a transformative and historic impact on the lives of citizens by allowing them to avail digital services on 24*7, without any intermediary. Connected government, effective & economic governance, citizen centricity, inclusiveness, universal access and citizen participation in governance are some of the key benefits of UMANG for citizens as well as the Government.

Within a short period of its successful running, the mobile app bagged the ‘Best m-Government Service’ award at the 6th World Government Summit held at Dubai, UAE, in February 2018. UMANG also won at the IDC Digital Transformation Awards 2018 in August, under the category Omni-experience Innovator, which recognized it as a pioneering initiative.

The ‘Digital India Jury choice award 2018-19’ and DARPG Gold award 2018-19 for ‘Excellence in providing Citizen Centric Delivery’ respectively, were also bestowed upon UMANG. Information dissemination and delivery of government services, for assisting citizens on various aspects of life & livelihood, is being taken to another level through the consolidation of many important and widely used government services onto a single unified mobile app i.e. UMANG

UMANG Team now invites your suggestions for which 3 new services to on-board from State/Central Government departments on to the UMANG Platform.

Currently as a common man what citizen required urgently is services related to Aadhar. @link mobile number @change basic data can you provide these simple services on this Umang platform

umang i pressure to give my reference to mobile app my reference is good reference but some government officials don't like my reference in app it is good app it will motivate all citizens to do our work from app. Kindly inform about the Right to Information Act and that all the Tamil Nadu government offices do not give any information to the citizens.

Corona virus के प्रथम लहर के संक्रमण के पश्चात Corona virus की दूसरी लहर के संक्रमण को ज्यादा तेज व खतरनाक माना गया , जिसके गंभीर परिणाम सामने हैं अब Corona Virusसंक्रमण की तीसरी लहर भी आने वाली है यदि Corona Virusसंक्रमण की तीसरी लहर आती है, हो सकता है तीसरी लहर के पश्चात चौथी लहर भी आ जाए क्या आपकी , Medicines , Vaccine स्थाई रूप से सकारात्मक परिणाम दे सकते हैं Social distance का सकारात्मक परिणाम व्यक्तिगत समझदारी से निर्धारित ह

UMANG I AM PRESSURE GIVE MY I REFERENCE TO THE MOBILE APP MY REFERENCE GOOD REFERENCE BUT SOME GOVERNMENT OFFICERS NOT LIKE MY REFERENCE IN THE APP IS GOOD APP IT WILL ALL CITIZENS TO DO OUR WORKS FROM THE APP. PLEASE INPUT ABOUT RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT AND THAT GOODNESS THE TAMILNADU GOVERNMENT ALL OFFICE NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO CITIZENS.

The Hindu are the only people paid tax to practice their religion The Hindu has to goes to Kasi and Rameswaram and Manasarovar once in their lifetime They travel thousands of kilometres to visit these shrine The pity is that they are not permitted to have dharshan of the deity and prayers for few minutes IN ALL Famous shrine some people pull and push the devotees out of the place where they have darshan of the deity The temple have hundial collection other contribution and revenues only from this devotees So the government order that only archakas who gave prasad like kumkum tulasi vibuthi theertham alone present near the deity and let devotees do prayers to the God other people are not allowed to pulling and pushing the devotees and in the temple premises no one can permitted to touch the devotees pull and push the the devotees Thanks
