Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance or UMANG developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology was inspired from the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister, who said “e-Governance, let us think about ‘mobile first’ and thus give importance to m-Governance”.

On November 23, 2017, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi dedicated the UMANG Mobile app to the Nation with 163 services. UMANG is an initiative to build a common, unified platform, aggregating major government services of Center, States, local bodies, including important utility services, to facilitate a single point access through mobile app, anytime, anywhere. Citizens need to download just one mobile application and can access multiple services.

UMANG was envisaged to have a transformative and historic impact on the lives of citizens by allowing them to avail digital services on 24*7, without any intermediary. Connected government, effective & economic governance, citizen centricity, inclusiveness, universal access and citizen participation in governance are some of the key benefits of UMANG for citizens as well as the Government.

Within a short period of its successful running, the mobile app bagged the ‘Best m-Government Service’ award at the 6th World Government Summit held at Dubai, UAE, in February 2018. UMANG also won at the IDC Digital Transformation Awards 2018 in August, under the category Omni-experience Innovator, which recognized it as a pioneering initiative.

The ‘Digital India Jury choice award 2018-19’ and DARPG Gold award 2018-19 for ‘Excellence in providing Citizen Centric Delivery’ respectively, were also bestowed upon UMANG. Information dissemination and delivery of government services, for assisting citizens on various aspects of life & livelihood, is being taken to another level through the consolidation of many important and widely used government services onto a single unified mobile app i.e. UMANG

UMANG Team now invites your suggestions for which 3 new services to on-board from State/Central Government departments on to the UMANG Platform.

मान्यवर कुछ एक ऐप ऐसे हैं जिनको बिना कानूनी मान्यता मंजूरी दे रखी है जो समाज व देश के लिए बहुत गलत प्रचार प्रसार कर रहे हैं इस प्रकार के ऐप को तुरंत प्रभाव से बंद कर देना चाहिए क्योंकि समाज में शांति भाईचारा प्राथमिकता के तौर पर बना रहे यह हम सभी के लिए अति आवश्यक है

Sir,The foresighted mission of setting up of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) by the then NDA Govt. led by visionary and legendry Prime Minister and ardent champion of Tribal welfare Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was brought to the broad daylight in and after 1998 in states/ UTs with grants under Article 275 (1) of the Constitution of India. Sir, the mission and vision of setting EMRSchools is still a dream in Odisha as the very first appointed staff members of EMRSs in Odisha have already completed 15 yrs. of their dedicated service sincerely on contractual basis with consolidated remuneration. So the talented and experienced staff leave EMRSs every year and the posts of major subjects in most of the EMRSs are lying vacant throughout the academic year only for the contractual and insecure nature of the job. As a result the studies and result of our children is directly affected.sincerely request you to framing a policy for the regularisation of service of EMRS employees .

Due to this corona and many more pandemic our country is facing many problems with these desease . So point of view is to help the country . India should make an app on which we can help poor people . With some amount in which they can fullfeal their needs. Hence people are board due to lockdown so interesting projects must be start online so people can view it . Thanks i hope my point of view is clear.

JAI HIND SIR, SIR I AM HAVING A VERY EFFECTIVE SUGGESTION FOR WIPING UP WASTE PLASTIC INSTEAD OF DUMPING IT ON DUMPING IT ON DUMPING GROUNDS AND HARMING THE NATURE. SIR MY IDEA IS THAT WITH THE HELP OF SHREDDER MACHINE WE CAN SHRED THE PLASTIC AND MIX IT IN TAR USED FOR BUILDING ROADS. SIR IN THIS WAY WE CAN GET RID OF PLASTIC AND ALSO SAVE OUR MOTHER EARTH. SIR I HOPE GOV. WILL FIND MY SUGGESTION HELPFUL AND IMPLEMENT MY SUGGESTION.

The latest RBI guidelines on Rate of Interest for investments or various loans as well as transaction charges should be made available on the UMANG platform. This would help the citizens to make an informed decision to select the banks products. Thank you.
