Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance or UMANG developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology was inspired from the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister, who said “e-Governance, let us think about ‘mobile first’ and thus give importance to m-Governance”.

On November 23, 2017, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi dedicated the UMANG Mobile app to the Nation with 163 services. UMANG is an initiative to build a common, unified platform, aggregating major government services of Center, States, local bodies, including important utility services, to facilitate a single point access through mobile app, anytime, anywhere. Citizens need to download just one mobile application and can access multiple services.

UMANG was envisaged to have a transformative and historic impact on the lives of citizens by allowing them to avail digital services on 24*7, without any intermediary. Connected government, effective & economic governance, citizen centricity, inclusiveness, universal access and citizen participation in governance are some of the key benefits of UMANG for citizens as well as the Government.

Within a short period of its successful running, the mobile app bagged the ‘Best m-Government Service’ award at the 6th World Government Summit held at Dubai, UAE, in February 2018. UMANG also won at the IDC Digital Transformation Awards 2018 in August, under the category Omni-experience Innovator, which recognized it as a pioneering initiative.

The ‘Digital India Jury choice award 2018-19’ and DARPG Gold award 2018-19 for ‘Excellence in providing Citizen Centric Delivery’ respectively, were also bestowed upon UMANG. Information dissemination and delivery of government services, for assisting citizens on various aspects of life & livelihood, is being taken to another level through the consolidation of many important and widely used government services onto a single unified mobile app i.e. UMANG

UMANG Team now invites your suggestions for which 3 new services to on-board from State/Central Government departments on to the UMANG Platform.

The three main links for better governance required on UMANG are a- direct grievance link against any central/state Government/Private services/products b- CBSE/CISCE/ State Boards latest curriculum and and exam related study material link and c- Health/Medical/Life insurance update of the individual/family

To , The Department of Consumer Affairs, With reference to my suggestion on PMO office in the year 2020, I would like to take it further to Dept. of Consumer Affairs that kindly take the following points into consideration. 1. Every ecommerce site ( flipkart/ amazone) must display products of their original country and Made in which country. (whether Made in India or Made in China etc) 2. No short form to be used like MADE IN PRC . Instead of that it should be MADE IN PEOPLE REPUBLIC OF CHINA. 3. Any product on ecommerce website, even if it is imported and assemble or selling by Indian business house but webportal must give detail information about Product manufacturing in which country. I request that this create awareness among Indian buyer that when they give order ,they must aware ,whose countries product. Kindly check my below mail send to PMO office. In my opinion, following services need to be available online - 1. Marriage Registration Process and 2. Birth and Death Registration Process This needs to be done along with time frame to complete the process with onus on applicant as well as department or authority and importantly - make it transparent. I am making this point on the basis of my experience with COWIN and Parivahan portal for license renewals and absolutely incorrect challan raised against my vehicle

सुझाव बिंदुवार निम्न प्रकार है 1. भारत सरकार अधिक महंगी पुस्तके जो की अधिक प्रचलन में है उनके दामों में किसी तरह कमी ले चाहे वित्तीय भार राज्य सरकार या केंद्रीय सरकार को ही क्यों न उठाना पड़े। 2. प्राचीन और अति प्राचीन ज्ञानवर्धक दस्तावेज ,अधिक से अधिक शिक्षा से संबंधित सभी पुस्तके (उच्चस्तरीय तक) पुस्तके, धार्मिक रूप से संस्कृतिक को बढ़ावा देने जैसे सभी पुस्तके एक ऑनलाइन लाइब्रेरी की तरह जिसका व्यापक प्रसार करके उसपर अपलोड करवाए जाए। 3. जिन जिन तरह के सरकारी कामों में पिछले सालों से ज्यादा ज्यादा भ्रष्टाचार हुआ उन सभी शीर्ष कुछ विभागो को पूरी तरह ऑनलाइन सर्विस से जोड़े बाकी के विभागो में इन मूल कार्यों को जिनमें भ्रष्टाचार करते पकड़े गए। 4.हर विभाग में एक कर्मचारी सिर्फ लोगो को काम बताने उनकी स्मासायो को सुलझाने उनकी सिकायते तुरंत सुनने, उनके लिए आगे उच्चाधिकारियों से बात कर उनके अधिकारों के खड़े हो सकने जेसे कही कार्यों के लिए कार्यरत हो। जय हिंद जय भारत🙏

It will be nice if all the charges required for all the government applications and the procedures thereafter are explicitly available online and accessable and updated also. even after making pasta documents online, we are not able to get it without paying thousands of rupees.

Reforms are required to cover all possible self-employed workers for their sustainability and growth. Urgent need for online services to educate, promote self-employment in all possible skills and trades. List out all possibilities for self-employment and offer support on a national level.
