Om Namah Shivay
This is very good initiative. Following are a few suggestions:
Complete ban on plastic made materials.
Belpatra after worship, be removed from temple and directly dropped in waste management machines for processing in making fertilizer / manure.
Flowers after worship also be processed in waste processing machine separately for making manure.
Water, milk and other liquid coming out from temple be collected at a distant place after extending temple outlet pipe and be used in agriculture fields. It will increase land more fertile.
Mahashivratri be celebrated as very grand festival.
Thanks
Dr Rajesh Prakash

The Pura Mahadev temple (also known as the Parshurameshwar Temple) is
an ancient Hindu shrine located near to Meerut City in the Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, on
the banks of the Hindon River.
It holds deep mythological and historical significance, primarily centered
around Lord Parashurama.
Legends say that the temple was founded by Lord Parashurama. After
carrying out his vow to rid the earth of oppressive kings, he sought to repent for his actions. He
established the Shivalinga and performed intense penance, eventually receiving Lord Shiva's
blessings.
Local lore also states that Parashurama was the first pilgrim to bring holy
Ganges water in a kanwar (carrying pole) from Garhmukteshwar to perform jalabhishek
(consecration) at this shrine. Therefore Millions of Kanwariyas visit the temple to offer Ganges
water to the Shivalinga here, keeping the ancient tradition alive, as well as historical point of
view.
The Uttar Pradesh Government has selected as a model for

Jai Shri Parshurameshwar Mahadev! 🙏
Baghpat District Administration ka ye kadam dil se sarahniya hai. Mahashivratri jaise pavitra parv ko “Zero Waste Mahotsav” ke roop mein manane ka vichar sirf ek safai abhiyan nahi, balki hamari sanatan parampara aur aaj ke paryavaran sankat ke beech ek khoobsurat setu hai. Bhagwan Shiv prakriti ke adhidev hain – unka tyag, santulan aur tapasya ka sandesh hamein sikhata hai ki hum bhi apne jeevan mein “kam khapat, adhik bhakti” apnayein. Isi bhav ko lekar Baghpat mein ye pahal hona garv ki baat hai.
*Kyun ye pahal khaas hai:*
1. *Shraddha + Sampoornata*: Mandiron mein Mahashivratri par lakho log aate hain. Belpatra, phool, jal, prasad, diyas – sab pavitra hain, lekin galat nistaran se yehi samagri nadi, naale aur sadakon ko bhar deti hai. Zero Waste model se hum ye sunishchit kar sakte hain ki jo hum Shivji ko arpit karte hain, uska antim sanskar bhi utna hi pavitra ho – composting, gaushala ko daan, ya biodegradable visarjan ke through.

Jai Shri Parshurameshwar Mahadev! This is a very beautiful and important initiative by Baghpat District Administration. Combining Mahashivratri Mahotsav with Zero Waste is the need of today. Devotion to Bholenath is incomplete without protecting Mother Nature. By making the mela plastic-free, clean and green, we are not only serving God but also doing real seva of Prakriti. It will inspire lakhs of devotees and set a great example for other temples. I fully support this idea. Youth, NGOs and common people should definitely share their good suggestions on MyGov. Har Har Mahadev!
Let’s celebrate Bhakti with cleanliness and save our environment. Om Namah Shivaya!
