The District Administration Baghpat invites citizens, youth, innovators and institutions from across India on MyGov to share innovative and practical ideas to transform the Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Mahashivratri Mela into a Zero Waste Mahotsav on theme “Bhakti Bhi, Prakriti Bhi”.

Building on the successful implementation of a Zero Waste model during Falguni Mahashivratri 2026 celebrations, this initiative aims to further strengthen sustainable practices and develop Baghpat as a model for green and responsible religious gatherings in India.

Aligned with the vision of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Swachh Bharat and sustainable tourism, the initiative promotes environmentally responsible behaviour, reduction of waste, resource efficiency and community participation in large public events.

What kind of ideas are we looking for?
1. Participants are encouraged to submit practical, scalable and innovative ideas in areas such as:
a. Waste management and zero waste systems
b. Plastic-free alternatives for melas and religious events
c. Eco-friendly materials and green infrastructure
d. Awareness campaigns and behavioural change strategies
e. Volunteer and youth engagement models
f. Use of technology (apps, QR-based services, monitoring systems, etc.)
g. Sustainable tourism and visitor management

How to participate?
1. Submit your idea in maximum 200–300 words
2. Focus on solutions that can be practically implemented on ground
3. You may include examples, models or case references

What will happen to your ideas?
Selected ideas will be reviewed by the District Administration and considered for implementation during the Shravani Mahashivratri Mela scheduled in second week of August 2026. Selected contributions may also be recognised as part of a district-led innovation initiative and documented as good practices.

This is an opportunity to contribute to building a national model of sustainable religious events, promote environmental responsibility, and strengthen citizen participation in governance. Your ideas can help demonstrate how tradition, technology and sustainability can work together for a better future.

Sir there is a big conspiracy going on on Internet by social media platforms, first they show 1-2 anti government posts in the feed, if user watches atleast one then automatically the user start getting all posts which are anti government in nature due to which the innocent user falls into the trap of false narrative. Also there are so many issues raised by opposition for which no bjp leader has given any statement so I request the government to ask their young leaders to counter and tell the truth about these issues as not responding will create kind of vacuum between the user and the government as all Internet is flooded by such posts and videos by the opposition, cockroach, creators, influencers and 0.5 front. Responding them with logic will stop the user to fall into that false narrative and will help gaining trust in the government. Regards

Mere liye Shri Parshurameshwar Mahadev Temple sirf ek mandir nahi, balki ek aisa pavitra sthaan hai jahan jaakar dil ko sukoon milta hai। Shivratri ke din yahan ka mahaul bahut hi shant aur bhakti se bhara hota hai। 🔱✨ Mujhe lagta hai ki Shiv ji humein patience, strength aur sahi raste par chalne ki seekh dete hain। Shivratri par jab log deep jalate hain aur “Har Har Mahadev” bolte hain, to ek alag hi positive energy feel hoti hai। 🙏 Mere liye yeh parv sirf pooja nahi, balki apni soch ko shuddh karne aur life ko better samajhne ka mauka hai। 🌙💫
