I was not alone in this experience - several other attendees also reported loss of bags and personal belongings on the same day. What is particularly concerning is that this incident occurred at a high-security national event, attended by thousands of citizens and protected by multiple layers of policing and surveillance. This raises an important question: if such thefts can occur at a venue like Kartavya Path on Republic Day, it undermines public confidence in crowd security arrangements at major national gatherings.
