Violence against women has though set of policies framed but rural women are reluctant to access as police officials are not very much empathetic in certain areas of rural belt. health: As I work in an Ngo with tribal poor so I know there is almost no knowledge around preventive care practices and as I mentioned violence redressal system is not there and patriarchical framework dampens the energies of women to go for regular health check up as men consider it opportunity cost.
Thanks a lot

Fisher women take many responsibilities at home and in community activities as fishermen are going for fishing for more than a day. Fisher women also market fish and are involved in fish processing. Therefore, they have to be given special rights in the municipalities for quality marketing of fish which also a health food. Fisher women cooperative societies should be promoted to facilitate such activities.

Please create Separate Country for Women in India OR divide India by 2 Gender's.Women & Men
Else make some law with a little bit sense
1) Person who ask for Dowry Punish him badly. But if Women Who "Misuse" the law Punish her equally in same manner
2) Punish Men who Rape a women, Molest a women, stalking a women.... But Punish a Women in equal manner who use False RAPE case, False Molest Case, False Stalking Allegations
3) Verbal allegation cannot make anyone culprit
4) DV can happen to men

Make laws for women , But make even stronger laws for the women who misuses it . Also think about the revision of laws for adulterous wife as i can't find any law which really can punishes adulterous women . There are many laws for adulterous men. Article 14 said that there should be no discrimination in terms of cast, creed and gender .
Please do not discriminate too much.
It is good to empower women but at the same time please think that the laws you are making doesn't make men powerless.

1. Make self defense mandatory in schools, colleges
2. Eunuch ( Third Gender) is neglected. Your government must ensure jobs, education for them.
3. Acid ban is not implemented properly.
4. Salary difference between man and woman must not be there, it should be same irrespective of gender.
5. Police verification must and personal introgation must of man and woman marrying. This will reduce dowry, forced marriage, harassment
Regards
Manthan

Thirdly the Policy doesn't speak about strengthening RMK and converting it into valuable instrument for women to access credit at low interest rate.

The Draft Policy on women is a very good document and one should congratulate the Ministry. However couple of things are missing - in the Health Sector access to safe abortion is not mentioned - we all know thousands of women either die or get maternal morbidity due to unsafe abortion - so please include this. No mention of women from religious minorities who carry multiple burden of discrimination - special mention needs to be made so that they are not forgotten. Thirdly the Policy doesn't spea

The ministry should adopt the slogan ‘awareness to action’ to eliminate VAW. Delayed actions on cases of rape, sexual abuse and harassment discourages women and their families to make complaint. On implementation of the existing laws, make separate budgetary provision.Safety audit of public spaces should be made on a regular basis in order to make it a real inclusive public space & enhance women's mobility Ensure women’s participation in the infrastructure planning process
