Safe, organic and nutritious as well as balanced food under ICDS and PDS system should be available. There should be a certification by the competent authority that the food is safe to consume. For all food items available in the open market, there should be a certification if the food is safe or not for consumption and a health advisory for consumption of the food as women and child also consume food from open market.

Most of the cases of atrocities at workplace go unreported as women fear loss of jobs. Security of employment must be ensured to such women so that they come upfront and voice their grievances. The compensation Act as in today contains no provision for compensation with regards to 1. THE PSYCHIC COST and 2. THE OPPORTUNITY COST. . There is an urgent need to compute, formulate make provision in the relevant Acts that provide for these costs in addition to the monetary cost to the employer.

It's a good initiative... However the draft is silent about the benefits for woman working in army, navy and air force. Also additional facilities like tuitions after school hours to school girls who are below average in studies should be provided as this will help in boost their morale and they'll not quit. Also woman should be educated and awareness should be made at the school and college level about the work like legal aid, One Stop Centre etc do for woman who face violenc.

Indeed the govt. has taken a good initiative by asking people of the country for the advise.
As Mahatma Gandhi said "Paap ko maaro paapi ko nahi".When we say betiBachaoBetiPadho, what reason we are giving to those people who thinks opposite of it.
Give them the reason, by setting examples of already working, independent and proud women in "near by their society" that they are strong as well as they need not to sacrifice their family.
The society will automatically do betiBachaoBetiPadhao.

Really! Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, free education etc hold no meaning unless we cannot work and be independent or support our family. I have been a strong believer of women independence and have always been advising girls the same. But ironically, now when I am facing this situation I have started to feel what's the use of all this. If ultimately we have to choose between family and career only why enter this domain in the first place. Now I think twice before I talk to girls of self-dependence.

contd... 2/3
bad impression on the near by society that, if a women works she can not bring harmony to the family, which leads to demotivate the near by society about the empowerment of women.
Suggestion: Make sure (make a policy) that a married working women get the transfer to their family members as quick as possible in order to pursue her career even after marriage and can lead a successful marriage.
Points under:Priority Areas (2,3,5,6) and Emerging Areas (5)
Lets set the example.

My wife is a central govt. employee (Indian Railways Jhansi), and I am a software developer in Pune.
As a husband of a working women I have a suggestion, making free education for girls (in some states) is a good initiative to promote the girl education. But, when it comes to their job, govt. has no strong policy to ensure that they need not to compromise between their family/career. (In my case their is no hope to lead a successful married life)
Which results in having a pretty bad ... 1/3

Happy to know that the Draft Policy 2016 recognises the urgent need to address the emerging concerns of SINGLE WOMEN. Few points that I would like to make:
1) Devise a comprehensive definition of Single women as they comprise of heterogenous groups such as deserted, widows, divorced etc
2)Conduct a survey (panchayat level if possible) to ascertain their exact no.
3)Provide separate need based protection to different categories of single women as their vulnerabilities differ
Thanks

This is not 1 case, there are several cases of girls (single & married) who are presently on loss of pay or have left the job because of this attitude. The only thing authorities have to say is that women should stay at home and if you want to work then make the sacrifices. Flexi timings, leaves are a remote possibility. I request you to please look into it. I am an employee of Central Bank of India. There is a MoF circular on posting of women in PSBs but even that holds no importance for them.

Respected Mam,
I think all these policies run on paper only. I am an employee of a PSB and since one month I am on leave because of my posting. My parents and I have been running to authorities to make someone hear our cause but to no avail. The posting given is clearly wrong and shows the biased mentality of the authorities who have already told my parents that you shouldn't have put her in job.
Therefore, i feel policies are made at top level but there is no implementation at ground level.
