International Industry Qualifications should be given weightage in jobs and promotions rather than giving full credit to exams depending on cramming and writing answers. Especially in Technical Education, more credits should be given to industrial qualifications rather than only academic ones & the same should be incorporated in curriculum also. Such teachers should be given special Jobs and Promotions & Opportunities.

All educational institutions that are interested are already being encouraged to take up skill development activities. This is a step in the right direction but it must be monitored carefully to ensure quality and the desired outcomes. Students must be allowed to take some skill development courses under the choice-based credit system. All courses in higher education must help to develop skills of various kinds including communication skills, ability to do team work etc.

One with more of skill to meet the demand of "Make in India", it will not only produce skilled manpower with need based training module but also reduce significantly pressure (in quantity) for quality research based in-depth higher education. I have an innovative idea in this regard and will be happy to discuss in details......

The emerging new technologies like robotics should also be included in the school syllabus at the appropriate level. There should also be facilities to study subjects like agriculture at the school level.

Every student at the beginning (1st semester) should decide what they should become at the end (last semester). Let them decide course and skill required for that with help of faculty.

We can train the college students in various skills of rural art like Pottery , weaving as part of their vocational training in the fields which are usually undertaken by the rural artisans. The training program , the initiative has to be undertaken by the Higher Educational Institutions. The initial training has to be compulsorily be conducted by the rural artisans, so as to promote their skills, giving them an opportunity and recognition .

However the various aspects of this issue have to be addressed by Government and Competent Authorities to reform the Educational System, we may together take some initiatives. In my opinion, Corporate and Industries have to join hands with respective Training Providers (by choosing right one) and Colleges to customize the Training requirements and work on the process of implementation. Infact, the Skills Training has to start from the School Education onwards as a part of curriculum.
