The India Newborn Action Plan (INAP) was launched by Hon’ble Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan on 18th September, 2014 in New Delhi. It outlines a targeted strategy for accelerating the reduction of preventable newborn deaths and stillbirths in the country. INAP defines the latest evidence on effective interventions which will not only help in reducing the burden of stillbirths and neonatal mortality, but also maternal deaths. With clearly marked timelines for implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and scaling-up of proposed interventions, it is expected that all stakeholders working towards improving newborn health in India will stridently work towards attainment of the goals of “Single Digit NMR by 2030” and “Single Digit SBR by 2030.”The INAP will be implemented within the existing RMNCH+A framework, and guided by the principles of Integration, Equity, Gender, Quality of Care, Convergence, Accountability, and Partnerships. Its strength is built on its six pillars of intervention packages, impacting stillbirths and newborn health. For effective implementation, a systematic plan for monitoring and evaluation has been developed with a list of dashboard indicators.

"More than 25% of the medicines we use originate in rainforest plants"Yet only 1% of rainforest plants have been studied for medicinal properties. Every second an area of rainforest the size of a football pitch is cut down meaning every day we might lose a potential cure.

Sir, In our country we find lot of people losing life in road accidents. The major concern is people suffering from accidents are not dealt with emergency as in foreign country.its good that supreme court has ordered to render help to the victims but that does not work efficiently. I would request to have an emergency team which would be govt approved and the team shld be dedicated to help not only accidents but any kind of emergency.we shld have emergency no like 911 in US.

A concerted effort mostly of self help type - should be put in to keep the drainage - whether underground or open - clean and without choking. All the water sources must be made pollution free. A ruthless drive against encroachments on the river water and storm water drains should be conducted and action must be taken without favour.I volunteer myself to be part of any awareness program that may be conducted in my district towards this purpose.

In India we are are careless of two important things one Health and two Safety & Security. Health of the baby begins right from the day of GARBHADHAN. Pregnant mothers are not well versed with the process of Sanskars to be adopted for good health of mother and baby. According to vedas certain kriyas are to be done during nine months and post delivery of the baby. Such kriyas help in development of mind, body and soul of the child and in long run helps in nation health building.
